The July show will be announced Tuesday (3/24) at the Times Union Center. This will be another complete sell out that will generate millions for Downtown Albany hotels and eateries. Meanwhile back in Schenectady...

Floor tickets for the show are $177.00! Recession? This concert will sell out in one day. Get 'em while there hot.

oh who gives a crap about these two has-beens?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Apparently 20,000+ fans from far and wide.

Some confuse a smash at the TUC with the taxpayer sink hole aka (Proctor's). Prediction: More people attend this than all the "performances" at Proctor's 3 theatres-ALL summer.

I agree w/ GB.  These guys are "yesterdays news".  Speaking of blasts from the past, heard a radio commercial that the band Kansas will be appearing at the Turning Stone.

Hey...they are no different than the Eagles. Call them has beens if you must, but their music is still timeless. And in comparison to the music (rap) that is out there today, I call these 'has beens' a breath of fresh air with 'talent'. Something our present music industry lacks. IMHO

No doubt about it, Bumble.  I had a chance to see them face to face a few years ago @ the Pepsi.  He came alone again there, another great show... However the BEST was seeing the second to last concert at Shae Stadium last summer, where Billy Joel played with Tony Bennett, John Mayer, etc.  They definitely still have it!

JoAnn,

That YouTube video is ALSO a has been.  From the looks of Billy Joel and the hair styles, I would guess that it is
30 years old.  Piano man is a great song, but it was recorded in 1973.

Billy Joel is ok.  Not worth the ticket prices IMHO.  For my money, I prefer James Taylor.  I would
prefer to see JT at Tanglewood over the Times Union center.

I know that this was an old or original Billy Joel, but that was all YouTube had. And you could only copy the link. The enbed was disabled.

James Taylor is "ok". But going to see James Taylor would be like taking a sleeping pill for me.

Boy are you right BT. They actually play the piano and not only shout into a mike.

They recently showed Elton's 60th Birthday Party on MSG. This guy can still play the hell out of the piano. Billy Joel's been here many times and was at the Palace talking about song writing. Even that sold out. Agree with Brad wish this was at SPAC instead of the hot TUC. Another plus it's music only-not political speeches.

My boss saw them both in Las Vegas. He said that Elton John blew Billy Joel away. It will be interesting to hear people's perceptions after this concert.
