It’s a shame that we have to fight this battle all over again.
The Feb. 20 Daily Gazette editorial, “Don’t wait to drill for oil,” rightly argues that President Barack Obama is wrongheaded in stopping new offshore oil drilling and pulling oil and gas drilling licenses in Utah while developing  “a comprehensive energy policy.”
American dependence on foreign oil is an emergency waiting to happen because of three decades of our national leaders’ retarding domestic drilling. The editorial asks what’s the point in delay.
Obama talks endlessly about windmills, solar panels and conservation, but these alone won’t translate into American energy security and lower gas prices.
We live in an increasingly dangerous world. Defending the nation from foreign aggressors is a primary responsibility of the federal government. Failure could be catastrophic.

This was a hot topic back in the 70's. Each administration offers solutions. Here we are 30 years later having the same discussion with no resolve.

The reason for this is that not one of the administrations who have been elected to office have done a thing about it even though they all said we have to break our dependence on foreign oil.

There is no answer......human nature is what it is....we fight, with swords, guns, food, money whatever to get what we want.......sanctions are just as
devastating as guns......no party has a win there.....just keep smiling and they might like ya.....and yes, it gets expensive to buy friends.......
everyone like their backyards.....taxes purchase alot of 'friends'........

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
