Right-there is more than meets the eye. So let's re-elect horrible Linda Bellick for a fourth term? Is didn't know anything, she didn't see anything, she didn't ask anything-she is perfect for the worst school board in the State!

But Linda Bellick is "committed" and "cares about the kids"! lol. Re-elect Linda Bellick- you got to be kidding me. The nerve of her to run another time. Fooled us once shame on you-fooled us four times-call in the FBI!

I agree with benny. I'm not in the district, but I have had it with EVERYONE who is in an elected position. From the top to the bottom of government. This country, state, county is going to hell in a hand basket and very quickly.

The only way we can send a message to our elected officials is by voting them out even after ONE term. Let them know that we mean business. And this includes school votes.

Thanks BT. Enough is enough. They say they're shocked about the Mad Bomber and the idiots on the Schenectady School Bored and then in the next breath say re-elect horrible Linda Bellick for a fourth term! Dump Mrs. Tom Bellick for the good of everyone. Start cleaning out the barn.

By the way this is not Schenectady City only. Voters in Schalmont, Mohon, S Colonie and Nisky must join with real Conservatives and vote HELL NO! for any tax increase. The Scotia-Glenville people already got a wake up call and have lowered school taxes. The rest better wake up and get with it or they're done like Schenectady. I cannot remember when a budget in the City was defeated not an incumbent thrown out. We start anew on Tuesday.

Worker says Raucci harassed her
Clerical employee claims he sent her sexually humiliating material

By PAUL NELSON, Staff writer
First published in print: Tuesday, May 19, 2009

SCHENECTADY — The clerical worker to whom Steven Raucci allegedly wrote an offensive memo contends she was for years subjected to a daily barrage of sexually humiliating material from the now-retired school facilities director, who is accused of violently threatening his perceived enemies.

The allegations are outlined in a notice of claim filed last month in state Supreme Court in Schenectady County by Barbara Tidball and her husband, Mark Tidball, of Schenectady.

The court document contends that from September 2007 to this February, Barbara Tidball received a "large and unending series" of greeting cards, signed and unsigned memos and other forms of "sexual and quasi-sexual" communication aimed at persuading her to dress and behave in a way Raucci, 60, would find appealing.

As a result, Barbara Tidball suffered mental stress and humiliation that affected her qualify of life, the claim says. It goes on to say that the pain she endured adversely affected Mark Tidball's relationship with his wife.

The school district and the city are named as defendants because they should have known about and stopped the alleged workplace misdeeds, according to the legal papers. The claim seeks unspecified damages.

Schenectady school district attorney Shari Greenleaf did not return a call to her office on Monday. School spokeswoman Karen Corona said the district had not received the notice of claim and does not comment on pending litigation. A notice of claim is typically a precursor to a lawsuit.

Attorney Paul Dwyer of Albany, who is representing the Tidballs, confirmed Monday that Barbara Tidball works in a clerical position with the district. She had worked since 1991 as a custodian in the school district, and the secretarial job in the facilities office headed by Raucci was a promotion..............>>>>..........>>>>..........http://www.timesunion.com/AspS.....p;newsdate=5/19/2009

Another shoe drops. Of course this poor lady (that was sexually harassed for years) is filing a huge suit against the horrible Schenctady Schools. Nobody knew anything, nobody saw anything, nobody resigns in disgrace, nothing unusal here? When this is over the sheeple in the City that voted for pathetic Linda Bellick 3 times are going to have to pay over $10 million in damages. When are you going to come out of the coma? Hopefully by Noon today.

A report to the media or administration would be hazardous to your health. Remember this is horrible City School System. Maybe with a few more multi-million dollar suits the City sheeple will awaken? Hopeful before 9pm tonight.

And was she a CSEA employee? Couldn't she have filed a grievance?

Thank you democrat machine for running the schools like that, thanks A LOT!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

It's really too bad that politics are now evolving into our education system. WE ARE SCREWED!

How do you feel bumble or the board in general with the fact tat Della Villa is on the RotterdamTown Board and the Schalmont School Board.  Talk about politics in our education system.  Mike Della villa stated that if elected he would step down and he didn't and yet he freely switches "hats" when dealing with Mohon and town officials.  People are outraged with the conflict of interest that Stevie Ego and Gerry and Tommy Gun turn a blind eye to.

Where is the outrage from Mertz, the so-called "sheriff of Masullo Estates,"  the ethic reformer who only enforced the rules for HIS special interests.  C'mon Dems wake up.  Look what happened in the city to the politically connected Bellick.

Or that County Legislator Karen Johnson is employed by Proctor's Theater
County Legislator Gary Hughes (formerly Vince Dicerbo) is on the SCCC Board of Trustees
Metroplex Chairman Ray Gillen is on the SCCC Board of Trustees
Schenectady County Attorney Chris Gardner is on the Board of Directors of SACC-16
City of Schenectady Councilman Gary McCarthy is President/Chair of SACC-16
City of Schenectady Councilwoman Barbara Blanchard is Secretary of SACC-16
Nick Barber is on the Board of Directors of SACC-16
Beth Petta (relative of County Legislator Mike Petta) is on the Board of Directors of SACC-16
           ...
           (and the list goes on)

PDQ,

Conflicts of interest are common in Schenectady County.  The same elected officials who approve funding for non-profit organizations sit on their Board of Directors/Trustees.  The conflicts of interest span both major political parties.  They result from a desire for increased power, not I suspect due to a shortage of qualified candidates to fill the positions.
