Anyone know what was going on at 4corners pizza this morning? several state (unmarked) cars were there, along with the owners of the shop.

seemed weird, they're not usually open before 9am yet the place sure was hoppin!

I don't know, but I have heard that there have been some attempted break-in's around there. Maybe that is what was going on.

A friend of mine just informed me that it was an Agriculture and Markets "visit" for selling home made cheese  that wasn't properly labeled.

Interesting...every time I've gotten cheese there, it's always vacuum packed and labeled with weight, nutrition, etc.

This "visit" was, I suspect, ordered by the Democrat majority in Schenectady County government who are upset that Legislator Santabarbara recently received some well-deserved press regarding his donation to charity of the proceeds from the sale of his (family recipe) basket cheese at the 4Corners Pizzeria.

Rest assured that the Democratic party public relations outlet, the Daily Gazette, will publish an article on this law enforcement "bust" that will include quotes from the party puppets asserting that Santabarbara and his family and the owner of the pizzeria have violated the law.

So, Sal, what do you think of your heroes now?

This "report" was strictly 3rd party, so I don't know for certain - and I don't know who "ordered" it - but ya, it wouldn't surprise me if it was Santabarbara's chees that was in question.

Is the cheese any good?

Schenectady county politics is uncivil.  Those who want to serve the public interests are hesitant to become involved because of the juvenile antics of those who are threatened by the potential loss of control and power.

What Angelo and his family have done in making and marketing this cheese to benefit not-for-profit organizations and causes is admirable.  Their unselfish efforts are made to better our community.   It is unfortunate that those "lesser men (and women)" feel compelled to abuse their power and influence to destroy the spirit of volunteerism.

Let us watch and see how Angelo's opponents spin this story to discredit those who gave selflessly of themselves.  And for those responsible for the police action, shame, shame on you.  IS there no inherent goodness in you?

For the record, the cheese is excellent.

It's shady alright. No good deed goes unpunished in this Socialist Krat County. Another example of one party government from the top down. Can't wait to hear Sallie spin this, somehow Joe Suhrada was involved?

well the jurey is still out on that and I am not surprised that Surhad is involved at all with law breaking and that there. But I doubt that Ang is doing anything like it. Lizzardi YES Surhad YES Tommosone YES not Angelo.

Benny,

Where did you get that Suhrada was involved?  I don't see any mention of Joe in this forum thread
nor can I imagine how he would have a role in any of this.

Take my word for it if it is shadey then Surhad is running it and he is the biggest problem we have now in the county and in rotterdam. Look what he did to Chrissey and her brothers and then this business here with unlabled cheese and that. If Ang is doing this then he better keep Surhad out if he is wise
