Lazzari has a "huge" campaign sign mounted on the barn of the former Crounse farm on Route 7 (now owned by Flying J). Could Joe have contacted Flying J to get permission? Oh, and there is an FDG sign there also. What happened to the idea of respecting personal property? Wonder if a sheriff would like someone to come along and post that type of sign on his home or garage? |

BT, copied from the Sch'dy County Records Search: ******************************************* Tax ID 57.-3-7.112
Coord. Locator 582606-1014280 Lot Size 16.429 acres
Current Owner’s Name Fling J Inc.
*************************************** Flying J and Pilot have merged...is that what you are saying? Or did it get sold to someone else and just hasn't been updated in the County records yet. Or maybe either Joe L or fdg bought it and that is why their signs are displayed. LOL |

The preliminary merger agreement announced in mid-July has Pilot agreeing to pay off $100 million in debt financing for Flying J’s operations. This and other terms of the agreement will allow Flying J Inc. to emerge from bankruptcy protection, according to a joint statement from the two companies.
They probably just had to go across the street to PILOT for permission. |

Back to the size of the sign, I didn't have my tape measure with me but my guess is that the sign is larger than 2' x 4'. The Code of Rotterdam regarding political signs follows: 270-151.1 Political Signs D. No candidate shall place or cause to be placed or erect a political sign exceeding two feet by four feet in size on any privately owned property situate in an RA, R-1, R-2 or R-3 residential zoning district as enumerated in § 270-6 of this Code. The post or supporting standard shall not be considered in computing the aforesaid size limitation. It is the presumption of this section that all signs erected on the above-referred-to residential property have been so erected by the candidate whose name appears on said sign and with the permission of the owner of said property. Said sign shall be the sole responsibility of the candidate whose name appears on said sign including the duties, obligations and penalties as provided for in this section Enough said! |

Someone should ask about the intimidation tactics and sign stealing that Bob Dagostino was accused of? Media is in the tank with their arms wrapped around the dems butts, but that won't stop people from finding the truth. People I have talked to today are not happy that they felt intimidated to put up the green and black signs. They will express their displeasure at the polls. Bullies don't reign for a long time. Other people are sick of being pushed around and so am I. The truth will be coming out over the next several months one way or another. |

Who will 'report' the truth? The liberal media? Perhaps we can start a 'news board' here. |

Stick to the issues and ethics in sheriff’s race
I am a candidate for the position of Schenectady County sheriff. On Oct. 18 I had occasion to read Carl Strock’s column regarding a personnel file that was anonymously sent to Mr. Strock about my opponent, Joe Lazzari, regarding his police career with the Schenectady Police Department. I would like to comment on that. First of all, I find it disgusting that someone would send his file to the newspaper, as that violates confidentiality standards as set forth by law. Secondly, I find it irresponsible that a newspaper would print any of the contents of that file. I have known my opponent, who is a brother officer, for the better part of my 20-year career, and I know him to be a kind and decent human being. For the past eight months both my opponent and myself have worked very hard to conduct a positive, issue-based campaign, sticking to the issues and campaigning on our own professional merits, and I will continue to campaign upon these merits. I would urge the residents of Schenectady County that when they go to the polls on Nov. 3, they consider only the issues that we both have run on.
