Earthly Delights, which closed its doors on July 31 after a 24-year run on Schenectady’s Jay Street, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection.
The natural foods store and vegetarian restaurant filed the bankruptcy petition Nov. 26 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court under its business name, It’s All Good LLC.
The petition lists $167,893 in debts and $500 in assets. The filing lists the defunct company’s New York State Workers Compensation Board as a major creditor, to which it owes $28,000. It also lists $15,000 owed to the Schenectady County Community Business Center and $12,821 owed to Schenectady County Economic Development Corp. Former restaurant owner Lori Sendra did not return a call seeking comment.
