I was speaking w/ a route delivery person from Byrne Dairy last week regarding the departure of the HP Hood/Crowley Dairy Distribution Center from Albany. The individual responded that Byrne Dairy (of Syracuse) is planning to locate one of their depots to the Rotterdam Corporate Park. He could not, however, provide a date. Has anyone heard of this business coming to Rotterdam?
IF Byrne establishes a distribution center in Rotterdam, will Byrne dairy stores like those in western New York State be opened in the area and in direct competition w/ Stewarts? |

I heard this was in the works, bt it's simply a distribution center - to service the local convenience stores/supermarkets. From what I was told, there wont be "byrne stores" opening - just a distribution point. |

Well, I don't know, I haven't heard anything about this. At least it should bring some money to some local folks through jobs. It'll also give another reason to drink that milk...it's lowfat AND Metroplex-Free. |

I still think it must make Stewarts nervous. By the way, I'm sure Judy D. and the other guy had absolutely zero to do with any of it. Even though I'm sure they'll take credit for it. |

Really....how does a dairy depot work??? Just cold storage??? Do they make dairy products there? ie: yogurt, ice cream etc??? |
