ROTTERDAM — Firefighters responding to a Tuesday evening fire at a home confined the blaze to the kitchen, officials said. Firefighters from the Carman Department were dispatched to the fire at 1029 Horvath St. just after 8 p.m. They arrived to find moderate smoke inside. The fire was found in an overhead kitchen cabinet and quickly put out, Fire Chief Dave Galka said. No one was hurt. The fire has been declared accidental. Mutual Aid companies included Rotterdam District #2, Fort Hunter Fire Co. and Rotterdam EMS.
