Yeah, I spoke with Mr. Mertz also and he said that the ONLY person that he didn't have the support of at the meeting was the head of the party, so I guess it depends on who you talk to.  You ask the head of the party, he says that Mertz doesn't have approval from the entire party, you ask anyone else, including Mertz, and that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Mertz did fare well with the party. No problem there.

well if Cooke runs maybe he can use the slogan "Change" or "It's time for a change."

I think that is what he would run on since he has no real ideas, except turning the town completely over to all the unions and Donnie DeAngelus and Chris Gardner. THAT would be great, wouldn't it?

Mertz was pretty good tonight and had some good questions about the REMS. He ultimately wanted accountability and backed the service. I can definitely detect some friction though, with the Supervisor.

Online gazette reports that Mr. Mertz has been ousted and will be replaced by Mr. Surhada.  Also named Mr. Silva's replacement

I wasn't aware he was responsible for the tax increase in the county and making us one of the most taxed counties in the country nor was I aware that
he had a fondness for child molesters.  I am going to see him on Thursday and I will be sure to ask him about this.

I wonder who is gonna take Joe Suhrada's place at the county level????   Is that what Mike Viscusi is positioning himself for or do they have others in mind?
