Re Aug. 26 article, “Residents raise questions about impact of projects on drainage”: The proposed development of nine new homes and more to come behind Rowe Road in Niskayuna would ordinarily not be of my concern, except that there is a major problem with drainage. Rowe Road slopes down to the junctions of Rosehill Boulevard and Angelina Drive. Denise Drive, Antonia Drive, McGovern Drive, Whamer Lane and Hilltop Road all drain into Rowe Road. Polsinelli Drive will also drain into their junctions. For town planner Kathy Matern to say that “they will be out there checking on the applicant,” and that “the new Homestead Place does not become a problem,” is not very honest. There is a big, recurring problem that has not been adequately addressed, and people are suffering. Town board members should take very seriously the fact that the individual homeowner is dependent on their decisions and fairness. They should take responsibility for mistakes made in the past.
