Your comments are a poor reflection on the Knights of Columbus.  You soil their good name.

How so? By saying an anonymous username's glass house is a few panes short?

Call Christopher, or my Grand Knight - file your complaint, they'll respond accordingly.

I reiterate my previous comment --- you soil the good name of the Knights of Columbus.

So, there is a huge Center City in Downtown which was 30% vacant before the addition. Even with the new office space, where will all the potential employees/businessowners park? Parking downtown is no picnic for the visitors. Anyone?

You can't be serious ... one minute you are saying that Downtown is so bad off that no one is
going there ... and the next minute ... it is so crowded that there is no place to park.

Just goes to prove that some people will make the stupidest statements to support a position that
is driven by jealousy and hatred.

I agree! The three buildings that people HAVE to go to for ANYTHING, is city hall, the county building and the court house. There never was and there still isn't today enough parking for just those three buildings alone!

And because people are 'forced' to walk a distance to any of these three buildings, they can expect to either be approached by a pan handler or step in piss or puke or possibly get shot at!!!!!

those damn regressives.....they even want to be SAFE!!

"crowded" would be more than 10 cars in a retail establishment downtown

A poorly thought out downtown. Let's build...build....build.....and not have parking for anyone but Proctors (yes, they have the most "curb space" but won't be paying for it). The free lots are a joke...half the time their full of City employees who won't pay. At least when I go to Albany I have indoor parking and I'm not approached or followed by vagrants when going from point A to point B.

Then there is the issue of shootings and robberies downtown. Does anyone here think that criminals will rob in their own neighborhoods? NO, they go to where the $$$ is. Even criminals know not to sh** where they sleep.

You want a renaissance, hire an Urban planner. You want a future ghost town with an exodus of taxpayers, well you can thank Stratton/Gillen for that.

The city has a planner. So does the town.       Get your facts straight before you shoot off your mouth.

Schenectady also has an Mayor with poor leadership qualities, an assessor and code enforcer that have decided to finally bring in revenue when their jobs were in jeopardy and a Metroplex leader who makes close to $200k.

Poorly spent money for incompetence.

The only incompetents are the Regressives who empty their dirty diapers on this website.

Area opens up
Marv Cermak

I had my nose pressed on the Center City exterior window the other night at a sneak preview of the newly reconstructed facility for a couple hundred downtown business folks.

I'm not on any government or quasi-government invitation list because I'm a boat rocker. I wouldn't attend anyway because I don't want to hear the usual half-truths from politicians and other self-interest types.

Several exiting guests who don't have me on the enemies list, stopped to chat. They said the facility leasing agent has some potential retailers lined up but Barnes & Noble and Starbucks recently scrapped plans to open shops.

One major improvement I noticed was the widening of the entrance to the adjacent Jay Street pedestrian walkway. A couple dozen shops, previously hidden from the rest of downtown by the useless Center City side deck, are now visible.........................>>>>.....................>>>>......................http://www.timesunion.com/default/article/Candidates-hesitant-to-mention-unions-712345.php#page-2
