He's just gonna resort to calling you names - telling you you're against progress and part of the problem, not the solution.

He has no answers, he's just a mouthpiece for his party (and kook-aid drinker).

Just relax and ignore the annoying chatter of the Regressives and the Nattering Nayboobs of Negativity.

The nazi's are here....just without swastikas!! That is how the nazi's did it too. It was an attempted brainwash, by calling people 'negative' or 'the resistance' when they wouldn't go along with the liberal socialist agenda!!

We may need hospitalization. Maybe a trip to a camp for re-programming. Maybe Ron is the guy who will make the diagnoses. After all Himmler was a chicken farmer and Hitler was a wall paper hanger.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The new section of Center City is so far unoccupied, though on Wednesday it hosted the Downtown Schenectady Improvement  Corp.'s annual fundraiser. Buicko said Galesi has received offers from tenants who want to subdivide the building's upper floors, but it is resisting that in favor of larger users.

"We're going to be patient," Buicko said. "It's the best office space in the Capital Region."

Galesi is hoping to attract a store such as Urban Outfitters to the building's lower levels, which would give downtown Schenectady a kind of destination retail outlet it now lacks.

Urban Outfitters??  Are they smoking crack ?? Home of the $28 t-shirt??

Check out their website - http://www.urbanoutfitters.com  ... anyone hoping to attract a store with prices like this has to be insane.  The high taxed citizens of Schenectady can't afford to shop there regularly, there's no parking to make it a store of much significance and the college kids drinking and stuffing their faces with burritos 9 months a year don't have that budget either.

Seriously - they couldn't even keep the dollar store open. CVS struggled, Rudnicks is fading fast (UO would be a nail in their coffin), State Photo, while arguably the best in Schenectady, has to be hanging by a shoestring, even Burger King is having rough times on Erie - and they want/expect/hope to bring something of this level to downtown??  That's like putting a Macy's or Belk's on Crane Street.  Where is their logic??

Put something there to draw LOCAL residents. Find a spot for a supermarket convenient to customers. Someplace for locals to walk to. Put a family oriented restaurant downtown (not a bar). Put REAL retail into the arts & drunks district.  What ever happened to the bookstore idea? Personally, I thought that was a good idea, but it never happened. Open Door just didn't cut it.  Attract a Barnes & Noble. That'd be perfect downtown.

They'll never attract a UO store to downtown Schenectady without HUGE / MAJOR tax incentives of OUR tax dollars, which we just don't have, only to support a store that can not, in any stretch of the imagination, survive on the economy of Schenectady residents. UO would have a tough time in Colonie Center or Crossgates - let alone "downtown" with no parking and crime/vagrants on the streets.

Sometimes businesses fade because they don't appeal to the customers anymore.

They only like to blame the competition because it makes them feel less guilty about their
role in their own decline/demise.

Capiello Dairy @ 510 Broadway pays $4,871 in property taxes

Marcellas new $2 million building on Broadway pay $416 property taxes

Parker Inn pays $81,320 property taxes

Hampton Inn pays $368,000 property taxes

Holiday Inn pays $487,500 property taxes

Proctors pays $4.00 property taxes (ALSO, Proctors collects $10,000 a month rent from the Muddy Cup and who knows how much rent from NE Fine Jewelry) ALL TAX FREE!!!!!

Don't blame a business in Schenectady for failing, they probably didn't know a DEM and get the tax-exemption other connected friends get. Proctors is the biggest offender of tax evasion this City has ever witnessed! They take space, rent space and won't pay property taxes or curb fees!! That burden is placed on the homeowners.

The new Center City addition is just awesome.   The Miracle on State Street continues --- soon to expand
northwesterly to  "lower State" and Erie Blvd  with the road revamping and the transformation of the
ALCO site.

The BEST is yet to come !!!!

There can be hundreds of more miracles as DVOR has stated over and over again...it's just going to cost the homeowner hundreds of more dollars to fund the selfish projects. The County, Mayor and ignoramuses with their phoney pom-poms screaming at the masses like a deranged chicken little "A miracle is coming!!! A miracle is coming!"

No, a miracle is going to happen when idiots spending taxpayer money are stopped. When Metroplex is disbanded and our money goes back into necessities such as firehouses, public safety and neighborhood re-growth.

Monty Python's line in the "Holy Grail" says it all...."You're not fooling anyone"

The Regressives and Nattering Nayboobs of Negativity are just jealous that the progress didn't come when
their party was in power in both the city and the county.

How do the sour grapes taste ????

you don't have to belong to a specific party to be a Regressive and/or a Nattering Nayboob of Negativity.

Uh, can you tell us how much the struggling Schenectady families with incomes of $30,000, and the elderly living on meager social security who have not gotten a raise in two years have to pay in property taxes for that building?????

By the way, can you tell us how the people on social security who have not gotten a raise in two years are supposed to pay for the tax increase.....on top of food prices going up, on top of heat going up, on top of gas going up????

And you think the wealthy business should be exempt????
