A 6 bedroom-3 bath mansion in the historic GE Realty Plot for only $199,000 and no takers. If this mansion was in Rexford it would list for $899,000.

I know the house you are referring to! I too, was shocked at the selling price, with NO buyers! Although, people in that area have been victim of home robberies.

Don't you know BT-according to the DEM auto-responses Salami makes everything up! It's a disaster. The DEMS have totally destroyed the economy and real estate values in this County.

It just goes to prove how out of touch the liberal socialists are with the taxpayers in schenectady county. They clearly do not have a clue!!!

DVR and the rest of the liberal socialists call people of opposition 'negative'. THAT my dear cyber friends is the way the liberal socialist looks upon it's peons who foot the bill for their whims and for the 'chosen few'. The liberal socialist has NO regard for the well being of the taxpayers!! Everyone here has posted about their own personal experiences or those of friends, family and neighbors......and they are all called 'negative'!!!

THAT IS WHAT YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT THINKS OF 'YOU AND ME'....THE TAXPAYERS!!! IMHO

Just goes to show how out of touch the Regressives/ Nattering Nabobs of Negativity are ... they want to
go back to the days when Downtown Schenectady was an almost dormant ghost town.   It really makes
them jealous that when the Regressives ran the city and the county .... everything that they touched turned
to gloom and despair.

Thank God for folks like   Brian Stratton, Karen Johnson, Ray Gillen, Sue Savage, and whole bunch of other
folks --- folks across the party lines --- who worked together and have made Schenectady's renaissance
possible.

I don't care if they want to fix it.  They should go ahead and fix it if they want.  It's a matter of where they're getting the money for it.  They shouldn't be taking people's money to give it to others to help their businesses.  They want to fix it, pay for it yourself.

call you a "bunch of  @#%&ing nuts"

Yeah, everything is coming up roses! The propagandist is if nothing else, tireless in his BS Democrap-Copservative Party spin!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Wasn't it Mayor Karen Johnson who ran GE out of town by increasing their taxes? Wasn't that a HUGE loss of jobs? It decimated our City and put hundreds out of work? If it hadn't been for the DEMS using taxes as a free flowing faucet, we might have kept GE. Downtown and Schenectady would never had fallen.

Now, you have Gillen and Stratton placing a HUGE Johnson-like burden on the taxpayers. Look at your history DEMS, over-taxing GE ..they left. Over-taxing families and the taxpayer.....they will leave. You will be left with slumlords and others who could care less about the City.

DEMS created this mess, continue to ignore their past failures and are continuing on the slippery slope of destruction they began years ago.

Schenectady is on its way to a renaissance.   I love what they did to Center City --- next project Erie
Blvd and the old ALCO site  --- and start working on the neighborhoods ...   as long as we keep making
progress I am happy.

I'd still like to know, who was it that paid for this renaissance?

Economic development requires a partnership between the government and the private sector.

Seeing as how you are a Republican ---- I cite Abraham Lincoln and his authoring the plan to build
a Transcontinental Railroad --- giving  large swaths of  taxpeyer-owned public lands to the railroads
and providing taxpayer funded  bonuses for completing the railroad

You could say that  Abraham Lincoln did for the railroads .. what Metroplex is doing for commercial
projects all throughout the county.

Oh Dear God.

Now he's comparing Savage/Gillen to one of the greatest US Presidents.

Did they have that special "concentrated kool-aid" tonight?  If so, you must have overdosed on it.

I agree  --  Susan Savage would make a great US President someday.
