When you visit this site you can enter your address and a map will pop up with your house as the small icon of a house. Red, blue, green dots will surround your entire neighborhood. When you click on these dots, a picture of a person will appear with an address and the description of the crime he or she had committed. This site was developed by John Walsh from Americas Most Wanted.
Hey, if ya can't keep them in jail....just put them on the internet!!! What a joke! it is NOT the citizen's job to police these 'criminals'. It is up to the lawmakers to make laws that law enforcers can uphold. It's their job...NOT OURS!!!

No, it's not the job of the average citizen to "police" these people. But, IMO, residents have a right to know if sexual predators, who must register, are in their neighborhoods. Especially for those who have kids, and those who have committed crimes against children.

that's nice....but, what about those who haven't been caught.....we cant really think that those caught and convicted are the only ones???....here's the thing, if I ever see that going on....the authorities will know about it when I am finished delivering my 'judgement'...that would be my version of citizen policing.....now, where did I put my taser, damn, I dont have one......
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

Nooooo....the issue here is that these scumbags should not be let out of jail and into society when the 'government judicial system' KNOWS they can re-offend. And then they, the government, give us, the waiting victims, a tool called the internet. With a site that will tell us exactly where these scumbags live. NOT MY JOB!
Did ya read the paper today? - Andrew Schwartz a state computer programer can get up to 5 years for 'looking' at child porn on the internet. -While Douglas Conrad a former bus driver, admits to 'touching' 3 teenage boys and gets 60 days in jail and 6 years probation. And it is considered a misdemeanor!!
Come on....doesn't anyone see anything wrong with this picture? So don't give me an internet site so I can see where the scumbags you(the government) have allowed them to live. There should be stiffer penalties and NO PLEA BARGINS, which was the case with Conrad.

Our laws are so skewed, in terms of penalties for various crimes, that the serious ones end up getting less time than those who committ infractions. So much is because of knee jerk legisaltion to the latest "crisis," that all it ends up doing is creating a mess of the laws and what punishments get meted out to offenders. NOt to mention all the law suits and various court challenges by third parties (ie ACLU), which not only tie up the courts, but end up creating a volume of case law that just muddies teh waters even further. Plus it puts DA's on the defensive even before they begin prosecution. So many are afraid if losing on appeal (such as when the death penalty was in play), or of being sued by some group with more money than brains, or concern for public safety.

That's always been a danger, and always will be. That's the price we pay for living in a human society. And I have no objection to that version of citizen policing in this case.
