What part of "none of your business" don't you understand Captain? You're right about the beat. The drumbeat has begun....and it will be deafening by Sept. 9.
Just got the word.... What the F&^K happened to the drum beats ????? All I hear is crikets and the faint words of a deeply disturbed person.

SCHENECTADY COUNTY Conservatives re-elect area party leadership BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter
Schenectady County Conservatives gave their leaders a vote of confidence by re-electing them without opposition to two-year terms during a committee meeting Monday. The leaders of the executive committee faced down an attempt to oust them during a primary Sept. 9. In a floor vote, committee members re-elected: Randy Pascarella as chairman; David F. Battaglia as vice chairman of Rotterdam, Duanesburg and Princetown; Michael Della Rocco Jr. as vice chairman of the city; Peter Rakvica as vice chairman of Niskayuna; and Mark LaViolette as vice chairman of Glenville. Robert Hamilton remains president of the Conservative Party Club. He also is president of the Schenectady Police Benevolent Association. Two new faces join the executive committee. Rosalie Claughsey was elected recording secretary. She replaces Kelly Rhinesmith, leader of the unsuccessful effort to take over the committee and its leadership. Rhinesmith remains a member of the committee, having won re-election in the primary. She was unavailable for comment. Also elected was, James Caputo as treasurer. The prior treasurer, Roseanne DeMarco, resigned prior to the primary and was not associated with Rhinesmith. Pascarella said there were no other nominations from the floor. He said his supporters retained 198 of the 250 committee seats following the primary. Rhinesmith’s faction won 52 seats, not enough for a majority. Rhinesmith mounted a challenge against the executive board on allegations it was controlled by county Democrats and the city police union. She also accused the leadership of endorsing candidates who do not share the Conservative Party’s values. Pascarella said county Republican Chairman Tom Buchanan and Bill Sherman, chief of staff for Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco, backed Rhinesmith in an effort to take over the Conservative Party. “They tried to infiltrate our party and break up our unity. We stood head and shoulders over the outside forces,” Pascarella said. Buchanan and Sherman confirmed their involvement, saying they agreed with Rhinesmith’s allegations that the party was under Democratic control.

Deafening. Yea, Kelly that was deafening. You convinced Buchanan,Sherman, Santabarbara and tedisco of that but not many others were that blind.
You have 52 seats including the Santbarbara's who still dont get it. That number 52 sounds very familiar. I can't place where I saw that number before.................
Ohh, yea! That was the number of seats you had prior to Sept 9 because of petitions that were thrown out for technicalities (missing dates, etc). So, on Primary day- you and Santabarbara andLazarri and Buchanan and Sherman picked up ummmmmmmmmm ZERO seats.
Was that worth your contribution of tens of thousands of dollars Jimmy T?
Angelo did nothing wrong, neither did those that tried to have the Conservatives endorse Conservative candidates. Where they messed up was in getting the Tedisco staffers involved, than it become GOP vs. Democrat.
I have sought no assistance from any members of any party outside of the Conservative Party, and your baseless, obsessive insistance that we have does not make it so... nor does the fact that our attorney happens to be a Republican. As I have stated, we chose Spargo for his expertise, not his political affiliation. And have you already forgotten that we didn't even endorse Denny? And if you didn't agree with the Cooke endorsement, why didn't you vote against it? Why didn't ANYONE vote against it? And you certainly didn't mention it in all of our discussions prior to our endorsements. You in fact stated your admiration for Bill Cooke. Your statements above make it obvious that not only are you a liar, but you are also incapable of discerning between liberal Demokratz and conservative Democrats. And by the way, you conveniently forgot to mention that as you know full well, Bill Cooke's union has no connection to the position he was seeking - unlike your preferred candidates. You are the only one talking out of both sides of your mouth, papaDesperate.
GADFLY: GUESS I WASNT THE DESPERATE ONE.
YOUR CONTINUED CLAIMS THAT YOU DIDNT GET ASSISTANCE FROM ANYONE OUTSIDE THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY IS A LIE AND I EXPECT YOU TO BE EXPOSED MORE THAN YOU ALREADY HAVE BEEN. THE TENS OF THOUSANDS SPENT BY TEDISCO AND COUNTY REPUBLICANS WERE AT YOUR REQUEST AND WITH YOUR PROMISE OF TAKING OVER THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY. THEY WERE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO BELIEVE YOU AND WASTE 30,000. OF COURSE THEY WONT REPORT ALL OF IT, BUT THE MOLE KNOWS WHAT WAS SPENT AND FROM WHERE EACH DOLLAR CAME FROM. AT THE APPROPRIATE TIME, THEY WILL ALL BE EXPOSED............
Schenectady County GOP funded effort to oust Conservative leadership Tuesday, September 30, 2008 By Michael Lamendola (Contact) Gazette Reporter
SCHENECTADY — The Schenectady County Republican Committee paid legal and postage expenses associated with efforts to take over the county Conservative Committee and oust its leadership, according to a recent financial filing.
The effort widened an existing rift between the two political parties, with the chairman of the Conservative committee calling for the ouster of the chairman of the Republican committee, Tom Buchanan.
“They shouldn’t support him, considering that their own chairman would do that and take votes away,” said Conservative committee Chairman Randy Pascarella.
He said the Conservative committee will no longer work with Buchanan in elections but would still work with Republican candidates on endorsements.
“That would not be fair to the voters of Schenectady County because Tom Buchanan has no character. It’s not fair to some good candidate who could do good for our county,” he said.
Buchanan did not return a phone call.
The Republican committee’s 10-day post primary financial disclosure lists two key expenses: $1,610 for postage and $2,500 in legal fees to Thomas Spargo. Both expenses are dated Sept. 3. The primary was Sept. 9.
Spargo appeared in state Supreme Court in August to assist Kelly Rhinesmith and her Conservative Reform Caucus in challenging designating petitions filed by the county Conservative committee’s leadership. Spargo, a former Albany County judge, is considered one of the state’s top election law attorneys.
The caucus and its allies also mailed six fliers to 2,700 Conservatives in the county, spent several days delivering literature door to door and made automated phone calls to Conservatives, reminding them about the primary.
Pascarella estimates Rhinesmith, Republicans or both spent some $40,000 on the effort to wrest control away from the current leadership. Rhinesmith’s caucus fell well short of taking a majority of the 250 seats on the committee, which would have allowed it to appoint new leaders. The current leadership managed to hold on to 198 seats.
Pascarella said the Conservative committee hired private investigators to determine who spent the money and where it came from.
“We will investigate this until we get to the bottom of this,” he said.

While I'm totally amazed of the blatant lie told here by Gadfly based on the story in the Gazette (assuming of course the 'accuracy' of the Gazette, which is often questionable), this reconfirms my suspicions that Buchanan is hell-bent on destroying the party in Schenectady.
Congratulations to Randy Pascarella and the committee for a race won despite the efforts of a few. While I've got VERY Conservative beliefs, I don't necessarily agree with your positions, and remained registered "Republican" - but like someone else here recently, I'll be changing my party affiliation tomorrow to "blank" - I refuse to be associated with this group of underhanded, scheming liars.
Shocker. But Kelly said it was just a few Conservatives that broke their piggy banks open and came up with the 2700x6 flyers ( 16,200) x postage of about .33 = about $5,000 in postage alone. Even if he flyers cost only $1.00 each- that's another $16,000. Damn, that's alot of piggy banks. That doesen't take into account the automatd phone calls, the door hangers and Spargo........

I hope you'll reconsider and register C............ We can get rid of Pascarella as quickly as the gadFLY was exterminated if you want .

I have no interest in "getting rid" of anyone ... what would need to change is the principles of the party - brought back to MORE conservative values, stop the "tit for tat" attitudes and endorsements of known liberal democrats just to "help out a friend". I believe there's way too much of that going on, in ALL parties.
