Doesn't matter if it was Shurada's or Lazzari's responsibility to file the report.  As Chairman, Mr. Santabarbara is the head Administrator of the Rotterdam IDA.  If he delegated that task to either one of them, and they didn't follow through, it shows Mr. Santabarbara's lack of managerial skills.  Sorry Sal, this responsibility falls squarely on Mr. Santabarbara.  Any way you look at it.  Sorry.

I happen to like Ang. So this isn't personal. But we have been waiting and waiting for the reps to come out from under their rock and present us with some real leadership. It appears that they just threw Ang out there with no support whatsoever. Where is the rest of this republican party? Where is the guidance from the other reps?

I am not a fan of the dems, but at least they support their fellow dems, even if I don't approve of the way they do it or the 'why' they do it. And as far as leadership goes for Ang, where is the leadership that should have been coming from the top of the republican party?

Sorry Ang, I guess the rest of your party is still under that rock.

I spoke with Mr. Santabarbara this evening regarding the Rotterdam IDA filings.  He stated to me that the annual reports have been filed.  He will send to me an email later this week with the URL to access the reports.  What I posted apparently was the link to the 2008 annual budget.

As for assigning blame to Lazzari, Suhrada, Dagastino or Jasenski, the Rotterdam IDA is an agency at the town level.  The aforementioned Legislators (former and present) hold county government positions.  I don't know that the responsibility falls to any of them.  Angelo is both the County Legislator representing District 4 and the Rotterdam IDA Chair.  This may be the cause of confusion re: responsibility.

The position of County Legislator has nothing to do with the position of Rotterdam IDA Chair.  No one to blame other than Angelo himself.  Sorry, Angelo, and correct me if I'm wrong.

It's so nice to see that the Rotterdam reps were right there to support and help Ang in his new position.

well like I said as I have read in the letters to th eeditor that Surhada was responsible for some of this and that there may be a possiblity that that Lazzari was to blame, if bumblethrough was correct. I am not throwing stones but maybe they used Ang for the fall guy since he is new and not a political regular. I don't see Caroline or Joe stepping up, or even Stevie T and Johhny Mertz taking their lumps on this. Bumblethrough you have a good point. Joe and Caroline have been around long enough to know better about these reports and they must have known and they throgh Ang in under that there bus. I am dissapointed in those two who have my support usually,

I know you Brad and Rene are saying something contrary to Bumblethrough but I am going on the hunch that what I read about Joe and Caroline was correct and Bumblethrough seems to have inside knowledge of this stuff. I hate to see Ang wrecked by this and they are taking him down with charges of criminality from what I read today in the Spotlight. A man wrote in and it looks like we have a whole new scandal having to do with laws being broken. Will Carney be involved or is this Cuomo territory????

I am thinking of callig some elected officials today and seeing about catching them at home since this thing has been brewing and  I am concerned about the indictments or the criminal charges that the Cervera guy was saying in the Spotlight. Wehen I get ahold of them I will post results here, anyone know Ang's number, or the number of Parisi who is th e ringleader? also Joe S and Caroline L?

I do not have any inside information. I just choose to be as informed as time will allow me. I also don't know anyone's home phone number that holds a political position. And if I did I would never call them at home. They all have families and personal responsibilities and deserve their own private time. They can be readily reached through their office by phone, emails or snail mail.

And Sal I still fail to see why you keep bringing up Lazzari and Suhrada. Lazzari is not part of the political process anymore. And Suhrada is a county legislature. However, when I mention party support, I am referencing this support from the top (Buchannan) all the way down. The dems seem to know how to accomplish solidarity. When a dem is in trouble, the entire party rallies around them for support, be it ethical or not. When a rep is in some trouble, they scatter like flies. Now that's a great display of solidarity, wouldn't you say?

Well your posts made me think you knew that Joe and Caroline were behind the reports getting in late and you IMPLIED that they are shifting the blame to Ang! I dont know what the heck to believe anymore when I read the letters to the editor and about charges of crimes against Ang, and thinking they will take this here young man with a nice family and use him as a scapegoat for crimes the others may have committed as memeber of the ida and the county. Some peoiple are saying here that the ida and the county legislature are 2 separate boards and I saw in a letter where Joe S was behind the SI group debacle, not Ang, now this thing about the late reports and laws being broke and Ang getting accused of hiding things from the law, and I am not sure after reading what you have to say Bumble that there isnt a blame game where Ang is being forced to fall upon his blade for the other republican legislators who are before him in seniority. that being Joe S and Caroline [ who is no longer in office yet was legisltor before Ang so must have had some input on ida and the goings on in and about the ida]

so if there are criminal indictments brought down will Ang take the charge for Joe S and Caroline as a loyal republican because this buchanan guy says so? that would be VERY VERY VERY WRONG! I don't like it and my whole family doesn't like it either. Is it because he is young and lower on the pecking order or what?

Bumblethrough you know something???what is it? Who is at fault and why do you say that they are throwing him away as cannon fodder if you dont know soemthing evry bad about what is going on. This is sounding like watergate. we can call it ida-gate now. Who will go to jail for this- I hope not Angelo!

Don't take my post wrong, while the buck stops squarely on Angelo's back, I also think any late filings were an honest mistake.  I don't think he realized it.  I also don't think this is a criminal matter worthy of indictments.  Also Sal, don't take all the letters to the editor as gospel.  That is why they are in the opinion section of the paper.  I have read many that might have been well intended but the author was grossly uninformed.  I have also read many that intended ill harm to another person's credibility that were grossly uninformed. You should indeed get in touch with Angelo, perhaps through his website, to discuss the seperation of the IDA and the County Legislature.  They are not interchangeable.  I believe anyone who lives in Rotterdam could seek the appointment regardless of political affiliation or position.

Both the 2007 and the 2008 annual reports of the Rotterdam IDA are available at the New York State web site (URL below):

http://www.abo.state.ny.us/annualreports/PAreports.html

And, for those critics who suggest that Angelo Santabarbara should not occupy a seat on the Rotterdam IDA because he also serves as a Schenectady County Legislator, note that the 2007 Annual Report for
the City of Schenectady IDA indicates that Democratic County Legislator Jeffrey Mc Donald serves on the
Schenectady City IDA through 12/31/2010.

Well then that proves my point that the legialators from the districts serve on this board of directors for ida. repubs need to admit who is really at fault on this here issue for us to be clear. I am still concerned there will be charges from what I read in the Ritterdam journal the other day and I dont want Ang to get arrested. I read what yiu say Rene but how do you know it is the same as in Princetown??? They are so rough and tumble out there like Rotterdam. This is where gloves come off each day. Go Angelo! Buono fortun!

I think you need to take 'english' reading courses sal. No offense here, but I think you are missing the point. Or perhaps not?
