Subject: The 2007 Club for Growth Congressional Scorecard

Dear Kevin,

It's finally here! Yesterday, the Club released its 2007 Congressional Scorecard. Find out how your congressman and senators voted last year (and in previous years) by clicking here (http://whatcounts.com/t?r=761&.....B3D0BB3F3F69EEC&). Perfect scores were given to Reps. Jeff Flake, Jeb Hensarling, and Doug Lamborn, along with Senator Jim DeMint. Congratulations to all of them.

On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal published an op-ed that I wrote, titled, "In Defense of RINO Hunting." You can read it below. I think you'll enjoy it.

A couple of candidates backed by the Club for Growth PAC had special elections last week. While Woody Jenkins lost a close heartbreaker, 46% to 49% in Louisiana's 6th congressional district, Steve Scalise won in convincing style, 75%-23%. I'd like to thank all Club members who contributed to these campaigns.

Lastly, let me leave you with two reminders. First, time is running out to submit your own personal video to the Club. If you aren't aware of this fun project, you can learn more here (http://whatcounts.com/t?r=761&.....B3D0BB3F3F69EEC&). We think there's a great story to tell with these videos, so please be sure to submit them to us by May 15. You can send them to Andy Roth at aroth@clubforgrowth.org.

Also, please save the date for the Club's Annual Winter Economic Conference. It will be held March 5-7, 2009, at The Breakers Palm Beach Hotel in Florida. The registration fee is $2,250 per individual or $3,750 per couple. If you have any questions or would like more information, please don't hesitate to call Stacie Smith at (202) 955-5500. You can also email her at ssmith@clubforgrowth.org.

Have a great weekend!

Best Regards,

Pat

I posted "In defense of RINO hunting" under a separate topic, as I can see why these 2 could bring on separate conversations.

The link for "In defense" is http://www.rotterdamny.info/m-1210392268/
