"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Senders--you have this great tag line about  stop being good dem or good reps just be good americans--in this case of the depot and its residents--it's time to be just good people.  They need time to relocate if in fact that is what they will be required to do.  Give them until June no matter who is in office--goofy Steve or FDG.  It's a humanitarian issue.

It's a great place...low income housing...section 8 rentals that keep the pd busy...heck it is likely to be the location of the first shooting in town, well either there or Walmart...same people!!...it's like Rotterdams version of Steinmetz Homes....why not keep them
there the city will overrun the town soon enough anyway!

They don't take section 8. That is what I was told.

But I did hear, and this could be rumor only, but Lent Court takes section 8 now. Yes? No?

I called the phone number (215-399-8450) that was on the "Apartment For Rent" sign. Here is the information they gave me:

2 BR - $750.00/mo + utilities
3 BR - $950.00/mo + utilities

They all come with dishwashers and garbage disposals.
Garages are available for an additional $50.00/mo
The heat is gas hot water baseboard.
There are 6 buildings and one will be used for people with pets.
Play area for kids.
1 year lease w/ 1 month security deposit.

I did ask if they accepted Section 8 and he said that the rents are too high for Section 8 to accept them.

I talked to a gentleman by the name of John, who told me that if anyone was interested, to just call him and that he is on the premises and would be more than happy to show the apartments.

I called them over a year ago and this was the information they gave me. They said that they did not accept Section 8 because the rents were too high. Unless they have changed their criteria for renting, this was the what they told me.

According to urban legend there is a sign in the NYC Subway saying more to Schenectady because they con't check anyone at the Welfare Department. Ten double dip back in the Bronx-nobody cares up there.

Right before the election this comes up? What has the Surprise/Steverino team been doing on this for years?
Another reason to vote for the NNTP-All the way.

It's more like this:

REPS hang onto 3-2 majority and slam the town sheeple with a new REMS tax. Vote what vote?

my opnion

new tax???

i'm paying now or im paying later

even if we went 3rd party
they(the third party) are gonna want the town to offer free space or tax free status
and that is a tax

i'd rather have a say with my vote on a board member and a budget(gosh knows it will never go down)

We don't need a taxing district or any taxes whatsoever going to an ambulance service. Not when we can seek out a private sector who can do the same, if not better job, than our REMS. How does the private sector get paid? By the people who actually 'use' the service. What a concept, huh?

As far as REMS....I would like to see them get all of their finances in order, without the help of a rotterdam bail out. Become self sufficient and bid it out.

The NNTP has shared that view. The reps back peddled with a referendum, but if you notice they are offering 'after' the general election. That is when 'most' of the people go out to vote and they know it would be voted down.

The dems have not shared their view on this issue. Not that I am aware of.

So the NNTP has my vote on this issue.

Sorry to get off topic.

so even if we bid it out
it is still the decision of 3 board members
the lowest bid need not be the winner
and i'm still paying.....
the private sector -  if they are so good and efficient at billing
why do i as a taxpayer need to pay anything until i dial the number?

shouldn't the argument be REMS or Nothing

just like RPD or Nothing

you want the DEMS to have a PUBLIC view on anything

that is like the police chief saying "my income is good for now i understand the taxpayers are hurting, i dont need a raise"

or Eunice not asking for a 2nd FTE  - a more expensive acount clerk  i dont need help,  i dont need help, can i have 2 FTE's now?

now those are some fiscally conservitive democrats
