I notice that MC1 backs the facts he/she states with proof where as DV backs his alleged facts with BS.

DV, answer this- what do you suppose the nuclear reactor's effect on that location will have on home sales there?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Yanno, I've really given up even caring || <-- this much about what he thinks.  Obviously he doesn't have a thought of his own, just party drivel and drool. He refuses to back anything up with facts, even when confronted with direct evidence to the contrary of what he says. Instead, he'll quote a song, post a video, rude comment or lately, a bible verse in response. Really not worth my effort.

As the price of gasoline rises,  condominiums closer in urban centers like Schenectady will sell
like hot cakes  --- add to that the high speed rail line coming to Schenectady.    This project will
be a GIGANTIC  SUCESS.

Schenectady really needs a high speed rail it will cut down on the commute time of both people using it.

http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2010/oct/29/1029_train

In a nutshell, the proposed $13 million dollar train station for Schenectady received absolutely no funding from the Federal Rail Administration. NY State asked the Federal Rail Admin for $138 million for state-wide projects, yet only received $28 million.

Therefore, CDTA and Metroplex need to come up with $13 million from somewhere?!? Humm.

Yep. It does a terrific job of reporting all the "miracles" and "renaissance" projects in the City. Then I check the classified to see where homes are for sale in different towns and states because I seriously can't afford the cost of yet another Schenectady tax-free project. Like the unfunded $13 million dollar rail station, that'll be adding hundreds to my taxes next year. Ah, the smell of despair!

Here's what the liberal socialists do.....

Develop a couple gin mills
Bring in a movie theater that no one goes to
Relocate businesses from one end of the county to another and call it a 'new business
Give all businesses a tax exempt status
Throw in a parade and BINGO.........ya got the miracle mile!!!

The truth is.....
The plex was designed to bring in 'good' jobs.....FAIL
The plex was designed to lower taxes...............FAIL
The plex was designed to increase sales tax revenue.....FAIL
People are walking away from their homes because they can't afford their high taxes
Crime is rampant with AT LEAST 2 shooters and a rapist on the loose in schenectady county
People are pissing on the miracle mile's side walks
People are puking on the miracle mile's side walks
Vacant buildings are so hazardous that only crack heads, prostitutes and squatters venture in them
There are non-profits EVERYWHERE
The dss bulding is busting at it's seams
The unemployment office is busting at it's seams
...........schenectady is a sh!thole and it is spilling over into the surrounding towns!! IMHO of course!

Oh what a big joke.

He thinks that 40 or 50 cents will make Schenectady city's properties sell like hot cakes?   Such a dreamer.  Gas is hitting $3 a gallon.  DV, a couple years ago, gas was hitting $4.50 a gallon, can you support your claim that city properties will sell like hot cakes by providing the details of sales records when gas was much much much higher than it is now??????????????????

Well??????

The accessibility to the beautiful Mohawk River will be another HUGE selling factor ... residents can jog, bike, or
walk along the bike trail.    Residents can enjoy Broadway quality entertainment at Proctor's and the growing
mix of eateries and shops in the ever improving downtown.

Schenectady will sparkle like a diamond.

DV you're in for a shock when you take off those rose colored glasses. Metroplex pumped millions of dollars into the 2 block area around Proctors and the rest of the city is still a crime filled over taxed dump.
