So, you're for Obama after the "repubs" ruined the economy the past 2 years?  And in what way was it that the "repubs" ruined the economy?  Because Bush was the President?  Tell me, where is it that ALL SPENDING BILLS START?  (I'll give you a hint, it's at this link - http://tinyurl.com/yqm97q, check Article 1, section 7 (section on raising revenue) and Article 1, section 8 (section on the power to lay and collect taxes) of this "antiquated, out of date paper."

Then tell me what's different about the last 2 years, as compared to the 6 years prior.

Bush can't take the credit for all that's happened in the financial market. Clinton and the Dems changed the regulating rules back in the early 90's and yes Bush did have a hand in keeping the loans loose and unregulated. Both parties have got to take the blame for the financial collapse and just admit it and stop pointing fingers at each other because it's congress who pass the laws not the President.

And that is why I am a registered 'blank'! They all stink of corruption and greed. First they ALL share the responsibility. And second, WE allowed it to happen. The sheeple just go on their daily life, with in a system they know absolutely nothing about. Nor do they care or want to know.

Sure this is a democracy....but the PEOPLE have to be involved. And I don't see that happening.

I will vote for McCain or Barr and not because I think they are the better candidate, but because I believe Obama will be disastrous to this nation. Worse than it is now. And I just can't bring myself to say...'President Barrack HUSSEIN Obama'.

You should stop making up names for President to be Obama. He is not Hussein! What liars and troublemakers you people are over here. Where do you come up with repeating the lies the far right wing is telling. I read a sherriff somewhere called him that and is now getting arrested for slander so watch out friend

Sal, that's really his given name. Look it up before you accuse us of lying about the messiah.

Palin attacks on Obama sign of ticket in disarray

I cannot remember, in my 71 years, when our nation has been in such turmoil. Yet John McCain and Sarah Palin, being behind in the polls, have put their quest for the presidency over the needs of our bleeding nation, by starting their smear campaign against Sen. Obama. John McCain vowed (as did his wife) there would be no smear campaign.
Any intelligent American, be they Republican or Democrat, must be able to see through this facade the McCain ticket is trying to foist on America. Palin even criticized McCain for pulling out of Michigan, showing just how badly their campaign is in disarray. Sadly, the Obama camp has to respond, which takes away precious time to discuss issues.
These issues include the war in Iraq, the economy, unemployment, health care, education for the children, and many others. It seems to me, in listening to McCain, that he is living in a makebelieve world. He is not being fair to the American people. Obama could take the advice of Gov. Bill Richardson and remain professional and “presidential,” but perhaps it is a bit too late. One of the reasons is that a vast majority of the gullible American public will hear the McCain comments and take them at face value.
My only hope is that McCain will stifl e his running mate and keep her hidden as he has done in the past.

I'm sorry Mr.Coveney....but, civilized,rational,responsible,accountable folks seem to have left the mainstream.....why??? I dont know......they weren't
taught the tenets of American beliefs, truth, self reliance, or any number of things that used to hold true via a litmus test when one shook hands
with another......I'm sorry to say that from my view (and I know this is just a repeat of somewhere in history: nothing new under the sun) we have truly
come undone some more.......the threads of our society are getting pulled out one by one......so what happens to the fabric??? no one knows what the
warp and the weft are anymore.....
