Sal/PDQ is a master at getting off topic and nonsense blabble. Joe Suhrada has been right from Day ONE about Metrograft, about the ripoff of County taxpayers, about the lack of any jobs, about the flops at Proctors and the Movie House.
Take a walk down lower State and say that things are better-that there is any "renaissance". Death Ray has also let ALCO fall apart and many jobs that could have come to this County go to Colonie. The County Kratz even trotted Shumer to make a fool of himself promoting "coffeehouses and Condos" on a toxic industrial site. Metrograft is not a blunder it's a taxpayer ripoff that must be investigated.
Metroplex is the same exact thing as AIG, just small scale...small enough that no one besides the tax paying residents of Schenectady County care about it. If it were more than one county, I think that Andrew Cuomo might be all over it save the fact that it's Democrat buddies that are running it. Then again, maybe he WOULD go after them, he is actually doing something lately. Who knows.
we need to kill that monkey on our backs.....obviously the alpha male in the bunch has dementia of a certain type..... clogged arteries from all the fat they are eating........remember the fat is for the alter not one's self.......

Sal's going to put his wife in at the Big Hose. A no-show position! That's the Krat way, win office---get your wife a lob job. Nobody will say nuthin..
Metrograft is not going away-they just got a 10 Year extension to maybe fix facades in Rotterdam. It's unbelievable and nobody but Joe Suhrada says bocheus about it. Throw out any County idiot from either party that supports this.
Hair styling times two By MARV CERMAK First published in print: Tuesday, June 30, 2009
A couple weeks ago here, there was mention the nationally famous Paul Mitchell Beauty School may lease two floors above the long unfinished Big House restaurant/bar downtown Schenectady project.
Since then, I've learned from Mitchell reps that plans actually call for two hair-stylist schools, one for newcomers to the trade and the other for advanced training.
Some business owners I spoke with believe this is a big deal downtown stimulus. There are only two Paul Mitchell schools in the state – one on Staten Island and other at Garden City. Further project details are expected soon.
Well, this is how I see it. Europa hair school was on State Street for years. Now I might be inclined to think that we should look at this paul mitchell school as being a tool for education....a trade if you will. But the question is....where is the demand? If there was such a demand for 'hair stylists' in this area, I would have thought that Europa would have stayed operational.
And I may be wrong here, but doesn't schools offer this trade through their trade programs? boces? Is there a waiting list? I know it is very expensive to attend a Paul Mitchell school....so exactly who in this county would be able to afford it?
Well, let's not get too far into this, cause it is just speculation and talk around town. The bigger and most important question is....when is the Big House going to open and how much money has Mr. Waite paid back to the plex as of this date?

The Big Hose will never open. That's why Death Ray has been running around showing it with no takers. Will believe the salon hype when a deal is signed. Not another handshake and wink.
It is unbelievable what these idiots have been allowed to get away with. Lies and on top of lies on top of smoke on top of mirrors. Robinson's Square retail, Clinton's Corner retail (still empty), Silver Diner, Retail at the old DSS on Nott, Wifi Downtown, etc, etc....
The college kids are always looking for the next new idea/fad etc.....and looking to be the first to do it......they could get hair styles 'of the rich and famous' in a highend salon school for next to nothing.....only those with jobs can afford to actually pay a 'real' hair stylist.....
if the school did move here there would be plenty of guinea pigs.....JMHO

And if I remember correctly, Europa was at the other end of town (where you could find a parking spot).
