ROTTERDAM — The state seized Ferris Tavern, 2612 Guilderland Ave., Thursday for failing to pay withholding and sales taxes going back to 1998. Deborah Miller has tax warrants totaling $120,944 against her business, said state Department of Taxation and Finance spokesman Michael Bucci. The state filed five warrants against Miller, the first for $34,799 on June 12, 1998, and the last for $10,280 on Nov. 19, 2007. The taxation department will auction off the property and its contents in three to four weeks should Miller fail to come to terms on a repayment agreement, Bucci said. Miller was unavailable for comment.
