I noticed that Anker's Fish Fry is starting to set up business on the corner of Curry Rd and Beverly St.. I don't know when they will actually open but it will be another new eatery for that area. I wish them well. |

I don't know if they are the same owners, but I thought that the Altamont Ave Ankers was much better than the 5 Corners one. I went to the 5 Corners one a couple of times and never went back. But I would always go back to the one on Altamont Ave. Combos on Crane Street is excellent too. That is if you dare go into that area safely. |

That's exactly why I was asking... What a huge difference between the quality of the two stores. The Altamont Ave. Anker's one of the best fried seafood places I've found. |

I never understood the relationship between both of the Ankers. And I too found the Altamont Ave location more superior. But I do hope that the new one on Curry Road is improved and they do well. |

The new Curry Rd Ankers is so much nicer and cleaner compared to the Altamont Ave store. I also noticed the new store has cheaper prices. A few items are a couple dollars cheaper. Good for them. I hope they do good there. |

I am glad to hear that some of their prices are cheaper. I thought they were a little on the high side when they were by the Five Corners. I will try it. Did you buy anything from there and was it good? |

The Fish Fry was good like always. They still make their own soup, salad and sauce. $3 for a fish fry. Can't beat that. |

This was Anker's attempt at "franchising" ... needless to say, it's not working out so well. Anker's should not have been allowed to setup in this tinder-box with apartments upstairs - that's an accident waiting to happen! |
