Suspect sought in truck stop robbery Sunday, January 27, 2008
ROTTERDAM — Police are searching for a man who brandished a knife and robbed the Quick-Way Truck Stop early Sunday morning. Authorities said a man, who appeared to be in his early 20s, entered the Duanesburg Road shop and displayed a knife shortly before 2 a.m. The man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a knit cap, with a black bandana over his face. Police said the suspect fled the Quick-Way with an undetermined amount of money. He is described as six-feet, two-inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. No further details about the robbery were available Sunday. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Rotterdam's detective division at 355-7397.
