Not to worry if Schenectady keeps raising taxes and fees there will be a lot more living there as people lose their homes, jobs and can no longer pay their bills.

If you build it they will come? Except in Schenectady. The few remaining Vale residents should have been listened to. With all the vacant housing-we must build-Build!

SCHENECTADY
Bethesda House ready for move
Facility relocating to State Street

BY STEVEN COOK Gazette Reporter
Reach Gazette reporter Steven Cook at 395-3122 or scook@dailygazette.net.

Moving day is finally almost here.
Bethesda House, which provides respite for the indigent and mentally ill, will begin the move Monday from its longtime Liberty Street home to its new building at 834-838 State St.
The move is to take two weeks, with the new site officially opening Jan. 19, Executive Director Margaret Anderton said.
In the meantime, the First Reformed Church at Union and N. Church streets will provide a day shelter and soup kitchen.
The new location will provide permanent housing for the chronically homeless. It will include 16 studio apartments.
“We’re just very excited to be able to provide housing for folks who have been without it for so long. The most vulnerable population is the chronically homeless,” Anderton said.
The two weeks from the start of the move to the ribbon-cutting at the new facility will be spent moving boxes and training workers. ...................>>>>................>>>>..............http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01201&AppName=1
