No, not close at all.  This is a government project, diversity hiring is to maximize political value and not economic value.  That is why the nursing home should be privatized.  All government projects are boondoggles and waste taxpayer money.  That is my complaint.

Well, it is unfortuante that Government must mandate diversity, but it is more unfortuante that Government must intervene because self-governing practices when hiring are not always equitable. So let's be sure to also lay blame where it starts...with those that do the hiring. You know it's just like anything else in this world...if people would jsut do the right thing, then no one would have to put controls in place to make themn do the right thing.

In this case, I wil agree it is politically motivated so they can say "HEY, LOOK WHAT WE DID" (slaps all around/pat on the back).

Equality doesn't exist.  People have different skills and talents.  Government engineered equality just forces businesses to hire less skilled people over more skilled people based on race or gender.  

I am waiting for the government to intervene in the hiring practices of the NBA. It is not a very equitable and diverse workforce.

It keeps being stated/quoted that the new home will not cost the taxpayers anything.   Will all the purported income to the home cover all the salarys/pensions/health ins. premiums over the years?   With all their related increases/raises etc?  What happens if occupancy drops how is the shortfall made up?   If there is less in the income pool of people to draw the $$$$$ from can't help but be a deficit.    Probably a moot question as it probably all comes out of the same confusing pile of budgeted items.

they will break the union but national healthcare will make a new union similar to the teachers unions......
