Anti-war activist arrested at Capitol WASHINGTON — Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan was arrested Monday at the Capitol for disorderly conduct, shortly after saying she would run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over the California Democrat’s refusal to try to impeach President Bush. Sheehan was taken into custody inside Rep. John Conyers’ office, where she had spent an hour imploring him to launch impeachment proceedings against Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Conyers, D-Mich., chairs the House Judiciary Committee, where any impeachment effort would have to begin. “The Democrats will not hold this administration accountable, so we have to hold the Democrats accountable,” Sheehan said outside of Conyers’ office after the meeting. “And I for one am going to step up to the plate and run against Nancy Pelosi.”
Hey, she just gave them something else to use against her at the time of the election. How hot-headed she is and the fact that she now has a record...not that that would make her much different from anybody else in there.

Sheehan announces run against Pelosi SAN FRANCISCO — A tearful Cindy Sheehan cited her son, killed in Iraq, as her inspiration as she announced her candidacy Thursday for the U.S. House against Rep. Nancy Pelosi. Sheehan last month said she intended to run against Pelosi, the House speaker, if the San Francisco congresswoman didn’t move to impeach President Bush by July 23. Sheehan said Thursday that Pelosi had “protected the status quo” of the corporate elite and had lost touch with people in her district, most of whom, she asserted, want American troops out of Iraq. Nadeam Elshami, a spokesman for Pelosi, would not comment on Sheehan’s candidacy but said the speaker has always opposed the war in Iraq and has focused on bringing troops home “safely and soon.”
I am not a Cindy Sheehan fan nor am I a Pelosi fan. But it was very interesting reading this small little blurp in the liberal newspaper today. It was an article you really had to squint to see. It humors me when I think back and when the liberal media embraced Ms. Sheehan. At that time, she was being backed and fueled by the dem/libs. So needless to say, her name and pictures were EVERYWHERE!
Now that she is on the other side of the dems, the media dropped her like a hot potato. She won't get any help from the media/press...that's for sure!

And ya know, if Ms. Cindy every did get elected, (which we know the media will make sure she doesn't), she could do nothing more than the 'shreaker' is now. And the scary part...these women are 3rd in line for the presidency. If something terrible were to happen to Bush and Channey, the shreaker would be in the oval office! OUCH!!
