I received a letter in the mail today from County Manager, Kathy Rooney informing me that the first meeting of the Council to Prevent Sex Offenses will be held on Friday the 19th at 4 p.m

Great example of the inefficiency of government.  The legislation that proposed the formation of this task force was passed by the Schenectady County Legislature nearly two months ago.

Did you happen to receive a list of the participants?  It would be of interest to learn the identifies of the two county legislators who will be engaged.  It would not surprise me to learn that the two are Farley and Lazzari, the two Republicans who are running for reelection.  This assignment would reduce their time on the campaign trail.

Rene, I appreciate your continued efforts for the residents of the Town of Duanesburg.  I hope that you will find a genuine interest by those involved to study the complex issue of Sex Offender residency and to propose a meaningful, non-partisan, comprehensive, legal and enforceable solution to protect children and families of Schenectady county.

I think holding it on Friday after the work day is a tell all.  At serious inconvenience to my family, I had to change plans. I don't know how long the meeting will last and while most will be home in 10 minutes or so, It is a half hour drive for me.  I have never scheduled a meeting, town or professional, on Friday evening.   I do not know who ANY of the participants are.

Rene, I would have thought that the notice you received about the meeting would have shown the cc's to the other committee members. Guess not, huh?

Is there a show at Proctor's Friday that they want to be at, after the meeting???

Below is a copy of the email I received from Ms. Savage in reply to the one I sent her. I was somewhat surprised that she referred me to someone other than herself to answer the 2 questions posed to her. But since I CC'd Ms. Rooney and Mr. Hall in my original email and since Ms. Savage CC'd her email to them as well, I will be expecting a respond from one or both of them. I will post them when/if I receive a respond.
