Think about what your own personal life would be were it not for them.
Try thinking about their sacrifices so you didn't have to.

Im all for peace. Buddhism is fundamentally  Dont do anything to anyone that you wouldnt want done to you- which worked fine in the garden of eden befor eve took a bite out of the apple .  

Thousands of years later the world has   some mean nasty  people . This isnt that hard to understand
the russians celebrate  their own  memorial day .
