Fox News defends CNN’s reporting, criticizes Trump’s treatment of Jim Acosta

I read that too.
It looks like it's the trump administration vs the MSM.
I don't mind him or anyone else calling out any news agency that isn't reporting the truth.
There is going to be a fine line drawn between what is fake news and silencing the 'freedom of the press'.

Trump seems to have bypassed the MSM and is using Twitter as his exclusive news outlet.
Brilliant move.....but......(?)

Agree...callout any news agency or even individual that is reporting fake information...what CNN
reported is not FAKE...it is documented, Pres/VP and Pres Elect were briefed on it (which Trump denied and
has since been proven that he was briefed). CNN reported there was a document that made specific claims...that is true
and not fake. But it is not a TRUMP IS GOD report, so Trumper needs to bash them and get into conflict with their
reporter who was trying to set the record straight!  If the CNN reporter could have asked questions, Trump would
not have been able to give direct answer...just dry FAKE NEWS!

I don't want POTUS to determine what news media can/cannot report based on it being positive or negative.
Isn't this all a 1st Amendment right???

CNN Runs With An Absurd ‘Raises Questions’ Story About Trump’s Pick For HHS, Rep. Tom Price
Posted at 10:33 am on January 17, 2017 by Jay Caruso

If you look at this story by CNN about Representative Tom Price, it makes the incident look like some convoluted insider-trading scheme where Tom Pricey profited handsomely by proposing legislation to benefit a health care company he invested in just a week before.

Rep. Tom Price last year purchased shares in a medical device manufacturer days before introducing legislation that would have directly benefited the company, raising new ethics concerns for President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for Health and Human Services secretary.

Price bought between $1,001 to $15,000 worth of shares last March in Zimmer Biomet, according to House records reviewed by CNN.

Less than a week after the transaction, the Georgia Republican congressman introduced the HIP Act, legislation that would have delayed until 2018 a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulation that industry analysts warned would significantly hurt Zimmer Biomet financially once fully implemented.
If you watch the accompanying video, Erin Burnett says the timeline of all this “this raises significant questions” to which Manu Raju replies, “Indeed it does Erin.”

Nonsense.

I will break this down.

First, do you know how many shares Price purchased (more on that in a moment)? Twenty-six. I was awarded more shares of Home Depot stock each year when I worked there than this. If Tom Price was trying to make a quick buck, this certainly was not the way to go about it. If thousands of shares were purchased, I could see raising a stink about it but twenty-six shares? Stop.

Second, the idea that Tom Price bought the stock and was immediately opposed to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulation is incorrect. CNN failed to note; Representative Price was on record in September of 2015 being opposed to the rule. A letter addressed to Andrew Slavitt, the acting administrator for CMS and Dr. Patrick Conway, Chief Medical Officer for CMS is dated September 21, 2015. Scroll to the bottom, and the first signature you’ll see is Tom Price, MD.

Finally, Representative Price, like many people, have financial advisors who are given the discretion to make investments, including stock purchases and sales on their behalf. That is what happened in this case. Dr. Price’s Morgan Stanley financial advisor directed all trades in the account. This particular investment was part of what is known as a rebalancing of a portfolio. It happens all the time to provide the widest investment diversification as possible to alleviate risk.

This is a story that is attempting to create a scandal where one does not exist. It’s a perfect example of lazy reporting.

‘Keep out, CNN’: Venezuelan president blasts network for ‘sticking nose in’

Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro has asked CNN to stay “outside of Venezuela,” accusing the network of attempts “to manipulate.” It follows reports by the network on a hard-up Caracas school and on allegations of Venezuelan passport fraud.

“CNN, do not get into the affairs of Venezuelans. I want CNN well away from here. Outside of Venezuela. Do not put your nose in Venezuela,” Maduro said, as cited by El Nacional. The words were delivered during a youth march.

A week ago a student spoke to Maduro during a national TV live broadcast, complaining of her school’s poor infrastructure and saying that some students fainted from hunger.

CNN en Español then made a report from the school.

“Some media like CNN tried to manipulate. They cannot manipulate! That is our business, of the Venezuelans,” Maduro said.

A separate report by the US network alleged that Venezuela “may have given passports to people with ties to terrorism.”

The network alleged that the former legal adviser to the embassy in Iraq, Misael Lopez, witnessed a scheme that saw the sale of passports and visas to thousands of people. Lopez told CNN he would not be bribed, but that the government rejected his allegations – which included passports being sold to people suspected of terrorist links.

The president has recently held countrywide military drills, attended by thousands of people in the capital – an exercise intended to spur confidence amid massive economic hardship.

Yah, no truth???? Then why did new administration just condemn him for drugs and for the passport fraud?
Try getting the real info for a change...could have heard it during WH press briefing fi you don't trust what's in print:

The Trump administration also sparked the ire of Maduro when the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Maduro’s El Aissami,
whom they accused of being behind the passport racket as well as being a prolific drug trafficker. The Treasury Department froze the U.S. assets
of El Aissami and the businessman, Samark Jose Lopez Bello, and banned U.S. nationals from doing business with them, Yahoo News reported.
