2 dead after Delamont Ave. incident in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY -- A pregnant woman who fell from the second floor porch of a Schenectady house Tuesday night has died.
Police were called to the 900 block of Delamont Avenue just after 7 p.m. and say they found a 31-year-old woman lying on the ground in front of the house and not moving. She was treated on scene by members of the Schenectady Fire Department before getting transported to Ellis Hospital via Mohawk Ambulance.
Staff at Ellis Hospital were able to deliver the woman's child, but both were pronounced dead later Tuesday evening.
