And again 'Assault Weapon' is a made up name. Maybe if you said 'ban semi-automatic rifles and pistols'

Ban high capacity magazines? Sure. It will be about as effective as a 'Gun Free School Zone'. We see how well terrorists and criminals obey the law.

Banning the weapons and capacity only is enforced on law abiding citizens.
Criminals, terrorists and even law abiding citizens, can get around all of those restrictions, so they have ZERO impact.
The source of the issue must be dealt with...they person holding the weapon. It has to begin with reasonable, enforceable
restrictions. Sadly, even that will not eliminate the problem, but it is a start and have more impact than banning the weapons/capacity.

JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!!

Let me guess...

If Box says "everyone" then you will come back and comp0lain that it's an unfair practice and innocent law abiding people are being punished because of a few, and this is infringement on our rights.

If Box says "some citizens be permitted" then you will come back with how can it be selective and how do you know which can or should and which shouldn't. Aside from being profiling, it's also an
infringement on our rights and we should not be discriminated against and not allowed to own weapons just because some person says we shouldn't.

As in all laws, the devil is in the details.

Is that for everybody, or will some citizens be permitted to possess them?

For everyone... (now for the reason Cissy posted this piece) Except law enforcement and only
in the line of duty.

I would love to hear Bucky  Boy explain to the terrorist who just shot him with an ASSAULT RIFLE that
it doesn't exist.
(As we all know, there is a classification of weapon known as "assault rifle".  In most civilian cases, it
is a semi automatic weapon based on the military M16)

As far as banning assault weapons... it was effective until recently when the NRA finally paid off enough
congressmen to get the assault rifle ban lifted.

As usual you want to create either a strawman, a red herring or move the goal posts. "In most civilian cases"... LOL...Are you suggesting that he used a true military grade, fully automatic or even a burst fire rifle?

If I buy a stock 2016 Chevy SS and paint it exactly to NASCAR specs using Dale Earnhardt's #88 paint scheme on my car...That makes me Dale Earnhardt and that it's a Hendrick Motorsports car?

Yeah...Let's talk about this great law!....What year was that? Oh right. 1994. It was based off the 1989 Stockton,CA  shooting when Pat Purdy went to the Cleveland school yard and killed 5 and wounded 32 before killing himself with a SEMI AUTOMATIC rifle in the style of a AK-47. But that didn't seal it. It was the 101 California Street shooting in 1993 where a modified TEC-9 semi-auto pistol was used.

Who put this sh*t law forward? None other than Dianne Feinstein

And LOL Boxy, this law wasn't overturned by the NRA you stupid revisionist history shitlord....It was originally crafted as a 10 year ban against "semi-automatic assault guns"...Oh look...there is that 'semi -automatic' thing again.

But let's take it a step further...You just LOVE to quote the 'North Hollywood Shootout'..FULLY AUTOMATIC!!!!...That was in 1997...Oh right...'Assault weapons' were banned. How did that work out?>

Get out, Shitler

Bucky has anger issues... just the thought of being without an assault weapon makes Buck
piss his pants.
It must be an awful life living every moment in fear of an armed intruder.

As the United States struggles to make sense of yet another mass shooting, we look at one
country that fought to change the culture of gun violence and won.
In April of 1996, a gunman opened fire on tourists in Port Arthur, Tasmania, killing 35 people
and wounding 23 more. Just 12 days after the grisly attack and the public outcry it launched,
Australia’s government responded by announcing a bipartisan deal to enact gun control measures.
The pact included agreements with state and local governments. Since the laws were passed
—now 20 years ago—there has not been a mass shooting in Australia, and overall gun violence
has decreased by 50 percent.

Guess who this is. Guess what his son did in Orlando a few days ago. Guess whose office he is seen visiting in this pic.
BY THOMAS MADISON JUNE 14, 2016 TERRORISM

The father of the Orlando mass murderer has been a frequent visitor to Washington. He has had several meetings with Hitlery Clinton’s State Department.

Seddique Mateen, pictured below, is also a candidate for President of Afghanistan. Hmmmm.

Is it not plausible that Seddique encouraged his son’s evil act to drum up overwhelming support amongst the very anti-American Afghan electorate in an effort to win the presidential election? Just sayin’.

Only law enforcement?  How about private security agents contracted by the government, like a Blackwater or Chris Kyle's company Craft?

The Father of the Orlando Shooter Recently Visited Congress, State Department, Writes Open Letters To President Obama
BY BENNY JOHNSON (2 DAYS AGO) | POLITICS

This April, Mateen was in Washington, D.C., doing advocacy work with Congress and the State Department
Seddique Mateen is an effusive poster on social media. The following posts from his Facebook describe a trip to Washington, D.C., in April. He can be seen posing in front of State Department offices and the Democratic Foreign Services Committee offices.

In March, Mateen had also been granted a corporate license by the State of Florida to operate his group called The Provisional Government of Afghanistan.

Typical answer from the small minded fool that uses 20+ year old tired talking points.

Ban cars! There were way more deaths last year due to cars than guns used in a criminal act.

I posted it, you just can't argue against it.

Oh and I think gas cans should be banned. In 1990, Julio Gonzalez got into an argument with his girlfriend and torched the Happy Land social club in the Bronx, killing 87 people.

If there were good gas can laws on the books this would have been prevented.
