I think it is shameful that Schenectady resorts to such over-enforcement on the highways. I made the mistake of going down Erie Blvd to try and turn onto Seneca St nobody would let me over to make a basic left hand turn so i could get out of the thick traffic caused by the boneheads in city council who thought it was a great idea to do heavy road work in the middle of rush hour traffic. I finally got to the right turn into the stockades 20 minutes later. I managed to get onto Erie and I was so late I took 890 instead of just going up state street as usual. I was in a rush and I wasn't exactly paying attention and I got stopped at a speed trap by a hidden highway patrolman going a measly 10 miles over the speed limit and I was given a ticket. I am going to move out of this predatory over-taxed crap hole town as soon as I can.
It shouldn't take nearly an hour to get from Scotia to Schenectady unless there is a state of emergency. I literally could have walked to my destination faster.

Where does the tax money and fines go in this town? We had a minor snow storm and it took until 2PM for them to clear the roads..meanwhile I nearly got into an accident 3x from sliding. I don't even touch Erie Blvd because it is no longer a safe road there is a turning lane on the intersection between Nott St and Erie Blvd, now that the left lane is closed people drive into the turning lane like a normal lane and I am stuck trying to make a left-hand turn at the mercy of the flow of traffic.

You are the operator of the vehicle.  You are the one who is speeding.  Yet, somehow, it is everyone else's fault but your own?

You folks are just fishing for something to complain about.
Bottomline - The operator of the vehicle made the bad decision to speed.  The operator of the vehicle can only blame his or her self.  No one else.

Bottomline....The operator can go to court and probably plea the ticket down to "parking on the highway"  and pay a fine and court fee for a violation you did not commit for a crime that has no victim...That is the moment you realize that you have been caught up in a legal extortion racket.

"violation you did not commit for a crime"...obviously they DID commit a violation, and it was a crime...DUH!!
"crime that has no victim"....you're right. Laws are there to help PREVENT there from being a victim....DUH!!
You still have not been able to grasp factual reality, have you!!

DUMBLER, DUMBLER, DUMBLER....plea deal possible because there ultimately was no victim...DUH!!!
Are you in reality denial too....oh, forgot, no dumblerspiracy here so you can't comprehend the value of laws
and the purpose and intent....maybe if you were rear ended by a speeder (even 10 over the limit), or
hit by a speeder crossing the road, or a worker on the road hit by a speeder.....maybe then you might
almost understand.  But then again, since it has to be explained to you, it's doubtful you'll grasp it.

...or maybe if you are rear ended by a motorcycle and the motorcyclist is ejected over your car, and the police show up to the scene and see you are not wearing your seat belt and you are issued a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt.  As you look at the motorcyclist lying motionless on the pavement and seatbelt ticket in your hand, you might understand the legal extortion racket.

Brilliant statement of stupidity...expect nothing less.

joey joey joey.....you just don't get it..... as most sheople don't.
you have been programmed to think the way you do.
they give you your marching orders.......and all you know how to do is follow...
don't feel bad....you and the rest of the sheople don't even have the capability to think outside of the box.
but that is how you were programmed.
don't question....just accept and follow....and ridicule the independent thinking people....that is what you were programmed to do....and it worked!!

That's right, everyone's brainwashed, everything's a conspiracy.

Gotcha.

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.
