Whats going on here?   Mayor of Albany, Kathy Sheehan, serves on the Proctors BOD.   As does David Buicko,he of the Galesi Group.   Can somewhat understand Mr. Buickos involvement, but the Mayor of Albany involved with a City of Schenectady enterprise?   Thoughts?

Proctor's has a working relationship with the Palace Theater in Albany for a number of years.

Furthermore, most corporate entities (public, private an not-for-profit will draw on people from a wide range of places, experience, talents, etc. to get the best minds on their boards of directors.

So in a decision vote, whose best interest would she represent, Schencectadys or Albanys?

As a member of the board of directors of Proctor's, I would expect her to vote for what was best for Proctor's.  Her legal responsibility as a member of the Board of Directors is first to that entity.

Translation: She will bring her creative budgeting expertise to Schenectady. Adding $14 million in mythical revenue to the bloated Albany budget which she refuses to cut.
Proctor's took over Capital Rep years ago-this has nothing to do with the Palace. Proctor's is a major regional theater and needs a diverse board.

Seems I remember she was running on the people have been stretched to the breaking point with taxes platform so let's tell people to vote themselves a 75 dollar school tax increase plus we'll look at ways to
institute a new garbage fee. Another one of the people need to understand the importance of high taxes crowd.

With her on the Proctors board and the Palace venue in her backyard could a future merger/partnering be in the works?   The Democrats mantra is to "partner" in many instances.   I still find it odd that a Mayor from another city with their own entertainment venues can serve two masters.   Would'nt she still be looking out for that venues success over supporting the competition?
