SCHENECTADY – Police are searching for a violent man after a stabbing overnight in Schenectady.

Police say a man was stabbed multiple times in the arm and torso just after midnight Tuesday.

It happened inside a home at 1224 Eighth Avenue.

The victim was taken to Albany Med for emergency surgery. The injuries were considered life-threatening.

Police say they are looking for 32-year-old Christopher Herman as a person of interest in the case.

They say Herman is extremely violent and has a history of mental health issues.

He’s about 5’11” and weighs around 175 pounds. If you have information about his whereabouts police ask that you call 911 immediately.

McCarthy is doing a very good job as mayor but he is not the Messiah.  Nor is Hull.  There are some problems - like mental illness - that can't just be solved by voting for one party over the other.
Knowing that the folks who support Hull are the same folks who have kept the Curry Road Plaza a vacant shithole for 30 years and every other retail grocery chain out the city is all the evidence that I need to know -- that I would NEVER vote for Hull or any of the Alliance party boggarts.

So that means you want people who have a house with a market value of, say $100,000 pay taxes calculated based on an assessment value of $175,000.  Naturally you do NOT pay taxes, but you DO think it's fine that the mayor will NOT do a citywide reassessment until at least 2019 because the casino will NOT appear on the assessment roll until the July 2018 at the EARLIEST and therefore, that will not affect tax bills until January 1, 2019 and that is a FACT.

The casino has not received a license yet so it can start getting built, they said 18 months to build so 18 months from, say Dec 1 2015 means June 1 2017 which is AFTER the March 1 2017 taxable status date which determines the tentative May 1, 2017 assessment roll and the July 1, 2017 final assessment roll.  So the casino will NOT appeal on the assessment roll til the tentative roll for May 1, 2018, and the final roll of July 1, 2018, and the July 2018 assessment roll is what determines the tax bills for January 1, 2019.

So you, DV, are fine with assessments being in overassessed AND in violation of state law for the next 4 years minimum.  Then, naturally you don't understand assessment value and market value, it is market value which is used to determine assessment value, and market values (based on lower taxes) will not change until during the calendar year 2019, and 6 to 12 months of sales are required to determine market values, so the EARLIEST that revised assessment roll will be in place would be the July 1, 2020 assessment roll

So DV, you are fine with the FACT that some people will be massively overtaxed and some undertaxed for the next 5 years?????   Is that what you are saying????   WHY won't you address this unfairness.  You believe it's OK for Schenectady to lack fairness in taxes, right?   Well?   Yeah, we know you will NOT EVER address the FACT the McCarthy is violating state law and that assessments will not change for about 5 years.  That's fine with you.  Just as long as millionaires and billionaires get their tax breaks.

Tell us DV, please tell us other than the "nicer" area of MP (nearer to the post office), what houses in MP have been part of McTHIEF's  HOMES open house tours?   What houses in Hamilton Hill have been part of McTHIEF's taxpayer funded open house tour?   Tell us DV. can you?

WHY does McCarthy and his realtors not try to sell houses in the worst neighborhoods?
