“Montana tops the list of road deaths with a rate of 22.6 road fatalities per 100,000 people—
more than twice the national rate—followed by Mississippi, North Dakota, West Virginia, and
Alabama.
The states with the lowest rate of road crash deaths are Washington, D.C., followed by Massachusetts,
New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. These states are all located along the Boston-NY-Washington
Corridor on the East Coast, where mass transit is much more available and widely used.

Would the fact that some of those states with high fatality rate have speeds 70 mph and greater on their roads and as we all know speed kills.

Some of the safest states are covered in ice and snow in winter, while some of the most
dangerous seldom have a snowstorm.

Some states don't have snow removal equipment so when it snows drivers are on their own without much experience of driving on snow and ice. It snows in the mountains all through the south every year.

LMAO!  The highest point in the entire state of Florida is Britton Point, 345 feet.  Hardly a mountain.

You don't travel much do you Box. Ever hear of the Smokey Mtns, Blue Ridge Mtns, and the Appalachian Mtns,. You pick out a swamp, besides Florida is only a medium fatality state.

The idea that "winter" weather causes auto fatalities is pure fallacy...While it is true that winter weather will cause more fender benders, they occur at a speed that is rarely fatal.

In fact, bad weather in general has very little affect on auto fatalities...people are actually more attentive when the weather is bad, and inattentiveness is the number one reason for auto accidents.

As for highway vs off highway deaths, the ratio is 1:4..... 1 death on an interstate for every 4 non-interstate

The authors of the study included DC... you should take up your complaint with them.

Exactly what "race" was I discriminating against in my post?
The "race" of
Southern Rednecks?
Evangelical Preachers?
Tobacco/cotton growers?

(and I assume you meant to post , privilege not privlage)
