Time Warner Cable should be commended for doing an excellent job in hosting the Mayoral debate last night it was fair and balanced. Unlike the bias newspapers like the Daily Gazette and Times Union they go very soft on McCarthy with easy questions.  Both moderators asked the questions that the folks in Schenectady wanted to hear to make their decision on who to vote for. Hull clearly connected with the people last night. Hull was more honest and genuine in his answers. McCarthy lied and shifted blame on others for his failures i.e state, school district, congress, etc. McCarthy got caught when Hull asked him for the job numbers he claimed on his campaign mailers that was created in his 4 years as Mayor. McCarthy didn't have a figure on the job numbers he was clueless. McCarthy also got caught with the Jay Street fire investigation and the secret cover up by his code enforcement department. McCarthy has no answers for the victim's family members and all the tenants in the city of Schenectady. The building was inspected the day before the fire took place by code enforcement and we have no answers to the findings. McCarthy said he doesn't care to create housing for low income renters that are on Schenectady Housing Municipal Authority. He wants to focus to build more luxury downtown apartments for the rich folks in his next 4 years.

It's a shame that Hull will probably lose again... there are more renters as voters than property owners in the city, so sky high taxes don't matter to them.. they just see the pretty downtown and the promise of the Casino. As far as their neighborhoods? You don't miss what you never had..sad..

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.

Hull will win this November the neighborhood residents are very tired of Gary the "Double Dipper" and his rich Downtown friends. Gary rakes in $200,000 a year in salary and pension. The average resident in Schenectady brings in under $40,000 a year in income and 70% of them live in poverty. Gary is greedy and self serving he is NOT A PUBLIC SERVANT. Gary is corrupt and secretive in doing back room deals with developers shutting the people out of City Hall. Hull came very close with fewer than 100 votes to winning last time. Gary promised a city wide reassessment 4 years ago and it never happened. Gary has made bad with landlords if Gary is re-elected taxes will go up higher  rents will go up even higher. Tenants in the neighborhoods will ultimately bear the burden. This year folks will turn out to vote for Roger Hull because he is honest and not greedy and he truly wants to make Schenectady better for all.
