SCHENECTADY - Schenectady Police have arrested three people after executing search warrants at two addresses.
Police recovered 3 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $20,000, $10,000 in cash as well as ammunition from residences at 9 Hamilton Street and 542 Schenectady Street.
Arrested was John Wesley Bass Jr. age 36, Darius Lamar Bass, age 38 and Najari Kaleim Sykes, 36. All are charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana, and Resisting Arrest.
All three were captured after fleeing into a police perimeter.
Bass, Jr. was also charged with assault after an arresting offer suffered a broken hand.
The Schenectady Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and members of the FBI’s Capital Districts Safe Street Task Force with the assistance of the New York State Police Aviation Unit contributed to the arrests.

I have to say something about this political fiasco,known as heroin task force,that is being touted here in Schenectady,it took a young Caucasian women being filmed on camera at a public bus stop,for the county to do anything (heroin task force)shame on you (dem) leaders of Schenectady. This time you bit off more than you can chew,with the rise of heroin related deaths and overdoses,this is just the beginning of a disaster, no matter your task force.the county should of got a grip on this problem along time ago,it's not like they were not aware (police).heroin has crossed over to niskyuna,Rotterdam , Woodlawn and all other parts of the county.......you will need more than a task force and an election,you will need divine intervention,for the problems this county will face,but enough about dope when does the casino open lol

So you can do the arithmetic 454 grams per pound and 25 hundred a pound is probably a realistic average wholesa price. Depending on if its grown indoors or outside. If its outside its being harvested right about now.

They should have given the task force a cool name like, "The Untouchables."
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
