The State of New York - legislature and governor - has made the sale of certain fireworks legal -- why are you blaming the Town Clerk?
My guess is that you noticed that you hadn't attacked her lately and had to pull something out of your a** to get your "character assassination fix" for the day.

look....ROTTENdam's tc is just an extension of what ROTTENdam is.....INCESTUAL!!!!!

as far as the fireworks and where they are displayed in a PRIVATE business is none of any town clerks business....in any town/city/village.

fireworks are fun and always have been.
and patchy...the er sees many many issues...people cut with a knife while cooking, burn while grilling, cut with broken bottle, caught finger in door, dog bites, broken bone from bike riding...blah blah blah.....you are soooo fearful...you should be living 'under the dome'!

Fireworks aren't made legal in New York by Cuomo and the legislature. Counties have been given permission to choose to sell certain fireworks only, fora specific period of time.
I think the town government does have something to do with it when flammable materials are too near gas pumps. Whether or not they are too close in this instance, I don't know.

Gas is flammable...

Fireworks are not an ignition source.

it all depends on where the fireworks were manufactured.
if they are made cheaply...the ignition burn is inconsistent.
now that is something the 'legalizers' should be looking into.....WHERE they were manufactured.

Bottomline - The Town Clerk had nothing to do with legalizing the sale of certain fireworks ======> The governor and the state legislature is responsible for that.

1.  Whoever allowed the sales of fireworks near gas pumps should be FIRED and SUED!
2.  That Planning Commission you're on, from what I can see going back over the agendas for six months, did not have this on the
agenda for approval.

So before you go on spouting off your mouth, do your homework

I'm confused...STATE approved limited sale of fireworks.
So where does town clerk come into picture...town legislature could have voted to not allow sales within Rotterdam,
but other than that, what responsibility does town clerk have to dictate or restrict where fireworks are sold...NONE!

Planning Commission???? Absolutely NO responsibility.

By gas tanks...well that may be a stupid move, but that is store owner's responsibility. Case could be made for safety and
request Police address issue if proven to be safety related...at minimum, could request store owner to move location,
but can't enforce move.  Nothing in place to prevent this....store owners could put fireworks next to candy shelves
or near soda dispensers....no regulation to prevent.

Not a fan of TB or TC, but not sure why people feel they are responsible here.

If you go back over the agendas, you will even notice that the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Renewal of NYC Rent Controls were not on the agenda.    Mmmmmmm.. wonder why?   Oh --- to quote a person of considerable knowledge and wisdom (Joebxr) "Planning Commission???? Absolutely NO responsibility."

So I guess that you need to reread the last sentence of your post, which is quoted above, and follow your own advice.

Because it's so much easier to b**ch and complain and point fingers at others than to be active
and actually do something.
