sorry this happened..the new normal??...sadly i believe we will start to see the end of the"rule of law" in our time....

awkward question but now where do we find out how many"jaywalking"tickets were issued in the last year in the city....for the officers sake i hope this wasent the first
That stat might prove interesting from the standpoint of where are the target areas of enforcement (the hill, downtown, high crime areas, Union St. mid/upper State St. etc.)   Major crimes(murders, rapes, robberys, etc.) usually are affixed a total by years end.   Is it public record, to list all infractions by years end, of all crimes committed regardless of their severity?

You can see where this "let's pile on the Police" is headed , at least in urban areas...

You'll see less and less interest of getting into law enforcement, which will lower the bar even more than it is now...and of course, when crime sky rockets, those same community "leaders" will whine about the police not doing their job.

Sorry....but they have no one to blame but themselves...the cops that is.
there should be a video out called ....COPS GONE WILD!!!!
Because they have!!!
This is the blow back when you try to militarize the local police depts.
There are videos all over the internet from all over the country....with these corrupt, puffed up cops!!
this case might be different...however tazing for j-walking?????????
Again............MOST cops have no one to blame but themselves! IMO

Cops use to be the neighborhood 'friend' so to say....now nobody trusts them!!!

Everybody is a potential terrorist.  Disobedience is violence.

If my 16 year old rebellious child disobeys my command to not go to a party, and walks out of the house anyways, can I chase them down and taser them to force them to comply with my commands?

no but we'd have to assume you WOULD have a PLAN B....yes?
or would you let the 16 year old just go.

This is where a pellet gun can be very effective.

Guns are dangerous.  Should be banned.  A pellet gun could be mistaken for an AR15, if witnessed by neighbors, police would be called and swat would have the house surrounded with armored vehicles with storm troopers ready to raid.
