One person was injured and sent to Ellis Hospital after a shooting on Strong Street in Hamilton Hill.

An individual, who is not being identified at this time, was shot in the area of 860 Strong St. around 1:30 p.m., according to police Lt. Mark McCracken.

The shooter reportedly fled on foot and is still at large, McCracken said. The victim's condition is unclear at this time.

Streets are being blocked by police this afternoon around Strong and Hulett streets.
