maybe life lessons should be discussed in school  - if you are not going to teach them to read, write, add and subtract

Do all tragic accidents require some sort of collective action in hopes of preventing another tragic accident?  Can't an accident just be an accident?

I wasn't talking about a hand holding circle of prayer

more like life is dangerous and stupidity kills   - incase your parents forgot to tell you

so at this point skip the 3 R's and a life lesson  - $15.000/yr/student is a lot for daycare

I don't believe the hiker was acting "stupid", it was likely a misstep or slip.  I hiked Plotterkill when I was in high school. It doesn't take a classroom teacher to tell me falling down a 50 foot embankment covered with trees and rocks
can cause injury or death.  What's next, a class in the dangers of walking across the road?
