SCHENECTADY — Residents will vote next month on a $167.7 million school district budget that includes a small tax hike and the addition of 34 new
employees to help student with behavioral issues and in special education programs.

Are you friggin kidding me? If a kid has behavioral issues the school should have the PARENT address the issue with their pediatrician.

the kids going through school now are also kids from parents who went to same said school and got 'diagnosed and drugged' legally.

unable to mature naturally because the system demands compliance for the end results of tests/graduation rate/tenure etc, these parents
lacked the maturity when they left the all holy public school system, to raise children 'without defect'...not to mention the inability
of a city to provide people with basic skills like THE RIGHT FOODS TO EAT/OUTDOORS/EXERCISE ETC ETC.....

have we not learned that cattle/chickens etc stuffed into small areas only to be butchered and eaten later is 'inhumane', yet
we build cities with apartments/government housing and neighborhoods where the houses are 3 feet apart and call that fu(king humane....?

hanging around a city generation after generation only teaches the system for the sake of the system and it does not nourish the human.

the public school is pressured to make human kids FIT IN.

I ask,,,,fit in to what? how? why?

What does a pediatrician have to do with a child's behavior?

Does he issue a get out of taking blame for your own actions, card?

Kids that don't behave is not an illness curable by government authorized drug dealers.

If bad behavior was an illness that can be used to not having to take responsibility for your own actions, their should be no one in jail.

All criminals should be treated for their underlying cause of their bad behavior, by physicians.

Perhaps all adult criminals were really undiagnosed children who got older.

Why not bypass all the crap and just tell parents to drug children who don't behave?

Idiots!

I was a free range child.

Well maybe I'm not the best example of free range non-parenting, but I still made it to old age.

Times have changed from when I was a kid, back then bad behavior was treated with a leather strap.

Parents justify beating and drugging their children so they can blame the children, instead of accepting the blame for their failure as parents.

The only special ed classes needed are classes that would stop today's children from beating and drugging their own future children.

Too busy ramming the government required curriculum down the kids throats to teach parenting skills to kids in schools.
