That is some of the most ignorant reporting and whomever is the Editor that wrote it needs to get an education.
It's full of BS misleading statements that are contradictory at best. Actually it reads a lot like it was written by MC1.

JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!!

What is misleading?   That the public has a right to know?   I believe that came from the guy at the state level, referencing state law.

Perhaps you should write one of those letters to the gazette, referencing this editorial, and mention what is misleading.

Maybe you are one of the code people that botched the inspection and will lose your job?      (just kidding with ya)

Too bad you can't see how this "editorial" is flawed and why!
Can understand why, since it seems to flow with much of how you "report" stuff...still think you are the author!

That is not implausible.  In fact, part of the City Hall and a portion of Jay Street in front of it are built over the burial ground for Schenectady.  Most of the remains were located and transferred to Vale Cemetery when it was created.  However, it is doubtful that all of the remains were found and moved.

It would certainly be a good idea to contact these former residents (or their survivors) and let them know (just in case the attorney's don't know all the city rules) that they need to ask, no, DEMAND ALL the rental inspections and certificates of occupancy issued for these places.  Also, did the city code people inspect the other building when it sold about 3 years ago?

I really hope, however, that all the answers for this come out in public during the campaigning for November's election.  If something came out now, it would be forgotten by October.
