If he is so intelligent, how come he has cause the tax base to fall so massively? If the mayor was intelligent the tax base would be incresing
if he is so intelligent, how come property taxes have fallen so much that the city is the second highest OVER-ASSESSED municipality in the whole state of New York. If the mayor was intelligent he would reassess the whole city to 100% of market value.
If he is so intelligent, why is the city the highest taxed around? If he was intelligent, taxes would be going down.
Care to address those FACTS????? Of course you won't because it would be an admission that the mayor AND YOU have no intelligence.

If you want to see what "good" mayor McCheese has done for property values in towns surrounding Sesspool-nectady, try this experiment. Get on zillow.com (real estate site) and pick 5 random addresses in Rotterdam that are close to the city line, take a look at the estimated market value of those homes over the last 5 years.. Then, pick 5 addresses of homes deep in Rotterdam and far away from the city line, take a look at those 5 year market value trends. The results should be crystal clear....the closer you are to the city line, the more your market value has gone down.
According to zillow, I have lost 20% of my homes market value during the McCheese years... At this point, I'm better off renting it out for a few years to recoup my losses after I re-locate to Saratoga County. After that, I'll have no choice but dump it for about what I paid for it....25 years ago!

In all do respect.....I have actually talked to mcmayor several times and he is TRULY NOT intelligent!!! REALLY!!! Not intelligent in the scope of EDUCATION!! He actually comes across as very UNEDUCATED.....which is true!

Paid twice actually. Double dipper off the backs of the financially struggling taxpayers in the city.
Oh yeah, and then he proudly proclaimed (upon becoming mayor) that he was "saving" the taxpayers money--I think $20,000-- by doing this double dipping thing.
But he actually was costing the taxpayers a HUGE bundle. He has been costing the people of the city by them losing MORE THAN $20,000 in their home values alone, on top of increased taxes, on top of the damage to their cars from driving through all the potholes in their neighborhoods, on top of paying higher taxes to cover the tax bills of the millionaires downtown who only pay pennies on the dollar in their so called PILOTS.
Guess DV was correct in saying the mayor has intelligence. He has the intelligence to screw the people in the city and give to his millionaire cronies in return for whatever kickbacks they give him.

I disagree with you. I have met and talked with Mayor McCarthy on a number of occasions. he is a very nice person, educated and intelligent. Now -- I will also point out that what I posted/said was that Mayor McCarthy is more intelligent thanALL of those who criticize him on this site combined. Now, you'd have to ask yourself - How intelligent am I suggesting that the combination of all his critics on this site are? Now if we try to calculate the intelligence of his critics on this site based on your statement above --- than the answer would be that his critics on this site are LESS THAN truly not intelligent, are LESS THAN uneducated.
