The federal government killed Iraqi civilians in the tune of tens of thousands.  A few city council members owing a few thousand dollars to the government they are elected to represent is a minor infractions compared to the atrocities committed by those that supposedly represent the citizens.

Somewhere around 4,000 votes gets you elected in the city.

I guess if you're working in some capacity for the city, it may be ok to owe taxes.  Just don't stand up and say we're not getting our rightful share of tax dollars, for that you get fired. Can't wait for the Mayor's

John Muteoveeren is the slumlord that McCarthy constantly mentions when he talks about the city foreclosure problem. Now McCarthy doesn't need to look too far the next time he talks about landlords not paying taxes when he has SLUMLORD like Muteoveeren siting on his council right next to him! #HYPOCRITES

I think they will be more likely to speak their minds if their backs are against the wall.  If they are collecting a pension and a govt salary they might not care as much about the taxes....

This is a new low even for the pathetic Schenectady DEMS. Once Moonboot was caught he lies about it (as usual) blaming a nonexistent escrow account. Resign in disgrace.
You pay more-they pay NOTHING. How about lowering the confiscatory tax rate so that even elected "leaders" can get caught up? NEVER! Everything is cut to the bone-lol. Entire departments starting with Development could be eliminated and no one would miss them. Mayor McCheese and all his running dogs must be booted in November.
