Customary response whenever he cannot answer a question because he lacks intelligence.

Customary response whenever he won't answer because it will prove he is wrong.

He cheers for spending of tax money on a traffic circle in an urban location and when asked how a blind person is supposed to cross a busy street without a traffic light to halt  cars, without the chirping sound letting them know it's OK to cross, he does is customary "yawn" because to actually answer the question would mean stating that blind people will be unable to cross the street there, they will have to walk blocks out of their way and backtrack, but in DV's mind, that is just fine, just as long as spending taxpayer money on the political cronies of his party everything is wonderful.   Have you ever seen anyone who brown noses more than DV, and those he is brown nosing don't even give him a first thought.

Leave it to a 50+ year old abnormal adult (unable to be independent, supporting himself) who cannot answer what a blind person is supposed to do to cross a busy urban street without a signal, to have such a wild imagination to come up with such a stupid answer.

Naturally, the delusional voice of lies cannot engage in discussion about how blind people are supposed to cross the street.

How does the truth grab ya DV?  Here's the TRUTH about the city, naturally you don't have the GUTS to address these FACTS, these TRUTHS

Here we have AGAIN the latest FACTS, the latest TRUTHS about Schenectady and surrounding cities.

The home sale median prices based on sales covering the first 11 months of 2014 as compared to the same period last year 2013.

City                 2013       2014     % Change
Albany             161,000    162,250     +  5.3
Cohoes             155,000    160,000     +  3.2
Saratoga           324,900    350,000     +  7.7
Schenectady         95,540     90,000     -  5.8
Troy               134,250    139,800     +  4.1

The NUMBERS of sales for the period covering the first 11 months of 2014 as compared to the same period last year 2013 is here.

City          2013          2014          % Change
Albany          443          473          +   5.3
Cohoes           81           84          +   3.7
Saratoga        344          316          -   8.1
Schenectady     261          239          -   8.4
Troy            162          169          +   4.3

Once again, Schenectady is the ONLY city that is seeing [size=16]a reduction in BOTH home sales AND home sale prices.

You do know they have special cross walk designs now for blind people, right.
Big one crosses over by Home Depot to the plaza. Good example of how it is
designed and works across a multi-lane road, like the blvd.

Crosswalks are made for all people--blind or not.   Blind people have the additional assistance of the crosswalk signal making a chirping sound to inform the blind person that all traffic is stopped at a red light, since obviously the blind person cannot see the "walk" signal vs the "don't walk" signal.

At the Home Depot to the plaza, there is a traffic light -- ALL motor vehicle traffic is stopped by a red light in all directions, no going straight, no making a turn.  No different than most any other intersection with a signal to pedestrians that it is time to cross or not to cross.

The idea of a roundabout is to keep traffic moving, i.e., no stopping, no stop and go, no traffic signals that cause all motor vehicle traffic to come to a completee stop.  If motor vehicle traffic at roundabouts was a stop and go with red light/green light, that would defeat the purpose of a roundabout, would it not?     Since motor vehicles do not have red lights at roundabouts, they will not come to a complete stop, so how doe the blind person cross when motor vehicle traffic does not stop?

If you have info that this roundabout at Erie and Nott and Front will have the normal traffic signal (red light, yellow light, green light), causing cars to stop and traffic to back up (which defeats the purpose of a roundabout), then I will stand corrected.

Larger round abouts are typically being built with pedestrian signals that will stop traffic and allow for crossing. Smaller ones tend not to use them because they are not as busy and blind pedestrians can hear audible traffic noise and cross when appropriate. The blind often miss safe opportunities to cross and do make riskier decisions. If this area is expected to be a high pedestrian traffic area perhaps they would put in a walking bridge or some other solution. I think the design really will need to depend on anticipated foot traffic.

Next time you are there, check the special construction of the crosswalk...it's intended to assist the blind.
I don't know for sure, but I belei8ve the roundabout design on Blvd is not an area that pedestrian traffic
is intended.  Crossing by Hamburg roundabout is not at the roundabout but at the separate roads
leading to it, and at safe locations. Roundabouts are very common in Europe, and I do not recall
any of them showing indications of pedestrian traffic at any point other than roads leading to
roundabout, and those were marked and signal controlled.

I am fine with some traffic congestion if it means we have tax generating activity.
