Fox News correspondent commits suicide



A well-regarded and well-traveled Fox News Channel correspondent apparently killed himself, according to a Colorado medical examiner on Thursday. Dominic Di-Natale, whose last assignment for Fox was covering the killing of Michael Brown by a police officer in Ferguson and the riots and looting that occurred in its wake, was 43-years-old.

In May, Dominic had the enormous pleasure of being seated in the midst of four Fox News women when he appeared on the show "Outnumbered."


His lifeless body was discovered on Wednesday in the home he owned in Colorado. The coroner's office listed his untimely death as a suicide, but did not disclose how he killed himself. According to several reports, a friend had telephoned the local police and said that he was concerned with Di-Natale's mental state. When police officers drove to his home they found his dead body.

According to Fox News Channel, Di-Natale began working for the number-one rated news network in 2007 and covered some of the biggest news stories regarding terrorism, crime and other topics. Many believe he was a throwback to the days of the professional war correspondents such as Ernie Pyle and Edward R. Morrow.

He first gained experience as a correspondent when he worked for Great Britain's BBC World and eventually became an anchorman in London. When BBC transferred him to New York, he was attracted to Fox News and its opportunities to use his skills which included speaking fluent Arabic having studied at the University of Damascus in Syria.

Fox News released a statement via a spokesperson saying "We were extremely saddened to learn of Dominic's passing and send our deepest condolences to his family and friends. He was an esteemed journalist and an integral part of our news coverage throughout the Middle East."
