Tenet and his deputy (who now works for CBS news) claim that:
They claim that this IS listed in the FULL report.Well, then lets see the FULL report (6000 pages) with classified info redacted and see who's telling the truth...

Here is the full unclassified report.  Let us know what you find.

George Tenet on 60 minutes:
"Listen To Me.  We Don't Torture People!"
In the next breath, Tenet justifies his torture of prisioners:
"It's post 911
I've got reports of nuclear weapons in NYC,
Apartment buildings that are going to be blown up,
Planes that are going to be flown into airports all over again,"

Etc etc etc...

I saw that too, but that doesn't answer my questions...

Did we get ANY substantive info from those techniques?
Was Congress and the WH informed of those techniques?
Feinstein says no, Tenet and his deputy say yes.

If Feinstein and the Dems are not hiding anything, then ask Tenet and his deputy for specifics and declassify it....
It's not my job to read the 6000 page report, it's the medias... it's also their job to find the total truth...

The Committee makes the following findings and conclusions:
1. The CIA's use of it's enhanced interrogation techniques was not an
effective means of acquiring intelligence or gaining cooperation from detainees.

The Committee makes the following findings and conclusions:
3. The interrogations of CIA detainees were brutal and far worse
than the CIA represented to policymakers and others.

First, the report comes from a Democratic controlled Senate committee.regardless of who controls the committee, there's a political spin on everything.
Second, Feinstein said flat out in a TV interview that NO substantial information was derived from these techniques...the report says it was not effective..effective can be a very vague term...

Tenet and his deputy say there was useful information gleaned from it..
Simple solution to prove who's right... ask Tenet et al for specifics and declassify if it exists...

The Senate report is equivalent to the prosecutor and the CIA is equivalent to the defendant.

To not consider and investigate the defendants claims ranges from being intellectually lazy to having political apathy...

The Senate report says:
Quoted Text
"Contrary to CIA representations, there are no CIA records to support the assertion that
Abu Zubaydah, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, or any other CIA detainee played any role in the 'the
planning and execution of the operation that captured Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.'"
It was a CIA informant, referred to in the report as Asset X, who provided the information.
In the report, the CIA officer who handled Asset X says it "was a [human intelligence operation]
pretty much from start to finish."

Here's four things we learned from the Democrat CIA torture report:

(1) CIA torture did not work.
(2) The CIA lied about what it was doing and whether it was working.
(3) The CIA did a terrible job running its torture program.
(4) The CIA also lied about the brutality of its methods

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/1376736-release-final.html

Fixed that for you Boxy and here's four more things....

(1) In the days after 9/11, something had to be done.
(2) Nobody has ever been arrested or convicted because no laws were broken.
(3) Feinstein was part of the 'Gang of 8' and had no problem with what was going down.
(4) Nobody talked to the CIA.

Let me preface with I do not condone nor agree with the handling of prisoners.
BUT,
per your post,
if this is the truth about our country,
and if you are fed up with it as you say,
then
WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE AND HAVEN'T LEFT?

Useful intelligence?
Quoted Text
The committee report concludes that the "enhanced interrogation techniques"
did not provide any worthwhile intelligence.
It also indicates that CIA officers themselves repeatedly questioned whether the
interrogations were useful.

The CIA was getting useful material from more traditional interrogations.
