The fact that Asterino won upstate counties like Saratoga, Rensselar, & Schenectady County shows that voters are getting frustrated with Baby Cuomo and the Democrats. The tidal wave will sweep in to the towns, villages and the city of schenectady. Voters in the city of schenectady will open their eyes and see that the DEMS in power is not doing anything to improve their lives. The voters who voted for Kosiur and Undertaker will soon realize that they made a mistake and in 2015 they will vote for the REP/ ALLIANCE.

Why did Astorino do so poorly in NY State?

"Republican Rob Astorino has made his opposition to the state's gun-control laws a key plank of his
campaign,
hoping to build support among gun-rights groups."

A Siena Poll last month found that jobs, taxes, government corruption and education were the top issues
for voters.

Just one percent of voters said the SAFE Act was their top issue that would determine which
candidate they would support.

It's funny that some compare NY "counties" as if they are all equal. There are probably ten
times more deer in Hamilton County than there are voters!
As of the 2010 census, the population of Hamilton County was 4,836. A total of 2140 votes were
cast for all NY Governor candidates in the County.

By comparison, there were almost 83,000 votes cast in Albany County.

The DEMS have done a wonderful job of depopulating Upstate. Million less Upstate voters than in 1994. This is also termed renaissance and new State order. The Adirondacks have become a playground for NYC one percenters like Aaron Woolf while the locals are serfs maintaining the lords manor. The map is eye opening but unless the REPS do a better job in NYC and LI than forget about it. BTW, Asterino got whupped in his home county of Westchester. He ran a bad campaign and did not have enough Westchester County support to be electable. Cuomo is unpopular but many stayed home or voted Green the new Row D. The Green Party is the big winner while the Upstate property owners are the big losers. Greens were also the King makers here putting Matt S into County Court. If his narrow lead holds up.

agree with benny, Astorino's campaign could have been run a lot better.

re: Cuomo losing a lot of the Upstate counties - doesn't really matter does it.

Hamilton county    4,836
Schuyler county   18,343
Yates County       25,348
Lewis County       27,087
NY Total       19,378,102
To put it another way,
these 4 counties are slightly larger than the population of the city of Schenectady.
